HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!
The minigames have a whole ton of in-series cameos there.
Vs Lololo & Lalala: Does the stage look an awful lot like Adventure of Lolo series to you?
Nightmare returns as a boss, with his moveset largely the same. Both his ball and Cloaked Nightmare forms return.
Kirby Master, something that I don't think should be called minigame anymore. The enemies and summons came from everywhere of the series - Kirby GC, the anime, Epic Yarn and so on. I'll be giving more details when I have time, but for now, feel free to follow the related videos.

As a deep down hard core Kirby-fan, I admit, that my brain was SEVERELY, DANGEROUSLY, HAMMERED DOWN, damaged by all this fanservice.
It's like were thinking how to save this minigame from being bored, or were out of character additions. Then... one suggest to take EVERY KIND OF KIRBY CHARACTER to battle against Kirby.
Oh God, I can't handle it anymore. Nintendo, you better do this to other series as well. (-X_@-)
*Dies away*
EDIT: What?
Young Horsetail is evolving!
*Do- do- do- do- do-----*
Congratulations! Young Horsetails has evolved into Bubbles!
Give a new nickname for newly evolved Young Horsetail?
[YES]

Nintendo, you better do this to other series as well. (-X_@-) I wish that too, but guess what's preventing that? Just guess. And if Mario tried it, well, the game card would explode.

That Kirby Master mini-game is a hell of a lot like a recent idea for a JRPG I had where the attacks are determined by a timing bar.

The Lololo and Lalala boss fight in that pinbal minigame also has the Rocky baddie from the Lolo and Lala games. Not sure if it appeared in a Kirby game before, but pretty neat either way

Rocky was a miniboss in both KDL2 and KDL3. But yeah, it's a Lolo cameo regardless.

It surprises me how they actually had to gall to use a cancelled element in a game like this. Hell, if that thing isn't in Return to Dream Land...

Huh. Well, honestly, I quite like Escargon. And I have no strong feelings one way or the other about the sales guy. I just hope those annoying kids don't show up.

Eh, I figured it wouldn't be long before the anime leaked into the main series. I'm surprised it hadn't happened sooner, to be honest!

It happened a little bit. They've been using the anime design for Dedede's Castle for a while, and one of the games (maybe Mouse Attack?) had the NME monster transporter room as the place where you fight Dedede. Didn't one of Mouse Attacks new abilities come from the anime too? I forget which...

Macho-san ( this guy) is also in Kirby Master, in addition to Escargon and Customer Service. Didn't one of Mouse Attacks new abilities come from the anime too? I forget which... Metal.

It's a little strange that characters from the anime are starting to pop up now, close to ten years after the anime ended (wow, those years went by fast), but it's a nice celebration of the franchise as a whole rather than just the games.

Kirby Air Ride had almost the entire musical score from the anime, and there were several locations from the anime slipped into City Trial mode, such as Dedede's golf course.
Not exactly. There's a similar ability in the anime called "Iron" where Kirby dresses like an Egyptian pharaoh and turns into a giant gold statue, sorta like Stone. Metal is more like Metal Mario where Kirby's skin turns into silvery steel, increasing his weight.
