Those three new guys in Pikmin 3 (Alph, Brittany, and Charlie) hail from another planet called Koppai.
For the record, that comes from what Nintendo was originally called when they were first founded back in 1889: Nintendo Koppai.

Pretty sure Nintendo also announced that, in addition to the new Sonic platformer and Olympic game, there would be a third Nintendo-exclusive Sonic game.
EDIT: What's going on with the fourth Captain in Pikmin 3, anyways?

Third exclusive Sonic besides Mario & Sonic 2014 and Sonic Lost World? I don't think I've heard of or read about that. Did they just mention something like "we'll make 3 Sonic games"?
Pikmin 3's Captain D is probably unused.

The Sonic deal was for 3 different games, so we have one unannounced. Rumour has it that Sumo is making a racing crossover for Mario & Sonic. Of course, it is just a rumour.
Also, too bad SEGA still has no confidence in a western release for Yakuza, I heard they're really good games.

Speaking of that, I was actually just wondering what a Nintendo racing game that used more than just Mario would be like. Of course, a Mario-and-Sonic racing game might be cool, too. I never was a fan of the Mario-Sonic Olympic games.

I never was a fan of the Mario-Sonic Olympic games. I'd say if there's one thing people want to see Mario and Sonic doing together, that'd be fighting. Brawl did just that. Mario racing game with things other than Mario? We have those. They're known as Mario Kart Arcade GP and Mario Kart DS.

Something like a Smash Bros. racing game could be cool.

Next Nintendo Direct will be in, you guessed it, the week of E3. It's 11 June. www.fortmilltimes.com/2013/05/23/2711436/nintendo-news-nintendo-direct.htmlLess than 3 weeks until information on their upcoming 3D Mario, Mario Kart and Smash Bros, and more stuff. I think I'm more excited for this year's E3 more than the previous years' shows. Must be because they're announcing a Smash Bros, which I predict won't be worse than Brawl. (My ranting about Brawl being worse than Melee is another story.)

So it's early in the Pacific morning, right before E3 kicks off. I'm guessing they'll show of their big guns, followed by plenty of hands-on footage from gaming sites the following three days. Also apparently there'll be a 90 minute presentation/QA solely focused on Pokemon XY at the first night (2AM GMT, sadly), though it's not clear if it'll be open to the public or what. Some Pokemon bigshots will be there atleast.Lastly there's this. Probably a mistake listing the VC release on there, I'm not getting my hopes up. BUT if by God it's actually real there's no way another E3 will ever top this one for me, Nintendo-wise.

Maybe Chibi Robo will be announced in the NA/EU version. The puzzle swap panel is a good sign of a coming eShop release.
