I guess in the eShop menu? Because I somehow am unable to connect, and the uploaded YT videos still only say "The Legend of Zelda" ;D (Confusing because you're also saying you still don't have a 3DS) I kinda messed up my facts on that. It's referred to as "Link to the Past 2" on the Official Nintendo Magazine UK YouTube channel, and only in the title and title card. Bill Trinen says the title is tentative, but that the game does, indeed, take place after the events of LttP.

So does everyone here watch the NA direct (even if they don't live in NA) because I feel like I'm the only one here who watched the Euro one.
Annoucements were pretty good, EB release being a pleasant surprise (sucks they didn't do it during the Japanese annoucement a few months ago)
- Flying Pikmin look interesting, nice to see them transport items over obstacles (like water) - M&L and YI look good. - Bravely Default Flying Fairy western release is good to hear. But I still think the name is fucked up, even just with "Bravely Default" The name needs a change. - tLoZ: L2tP looks pretty cool, the 2d picture Link looks like a good feature. Part of me thinks the reason we're getting this is that maybe Nintendo doesn't want to make original Zelda handheld titles anymore after the reception to PH/ST on the DS. (I mean when they announce a DS Zelda title in the past, people complained, why can't it be on the Wii!. It certainly does feel like the "real" Zelda installements are the console ones lately.

...I didn't watch the NA one. I watched the JP one.
Personally, I welcome these seemingly "not serious" Zelda titles. I can't play 3D action adventure properly (I don't have much of a sense of direction, especially in first person games). In early GameCube era, I was concerned that the shift towards 3D would kill 2D platforming and 2D action adventure. Glad to see that I was proven wrong with games like Four Swords Adventures.

Hmmm.... EarthBound is finally coming to VC... now I can finally play it and see what all the hubbub is about. I am more convinced to buy a Wii U now... but I think I will wait till E3 2013 to see what they have to offer for Wii U besides New Super Mario Bros. U and Pikmin 3. I need to see more reasons why I should give Nintendo my money by investing in a Wii U.
I am very happy about The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2. The SNES original is my favorite 2D Zelda game of all time. I am also very happy with Yoshi's Island 3DS. The SNES original is also my favorite Yoshi game of all time. I cannot wait for them to come out so I can play them.
I kinda wish they could have saved these Nintendo Direct announcements for E3 2013... it would be overwhelming and make it the best E3, you know? I hope the actual E3 2013 isn't underwhelming because they are only showing the games they already announced months prior.

I hope the actual E3 2013 isn't underwhelming because they are only showing the games they already announced months prior. Why? There will already be plenty of information to take in at E3, why bog down even more in one week when you can have a steady stream of new info every month or so? Nintendo Directs are amazing. I hope Sony and Microsoft follow their lead in some way in the future.

I dont expect many new announcements at E3, maybe we would see Smash 4, but after that, I only expect extended trailers and impressions of the games we already know. Im actually really happy with this Nintendo Direct, most of the new announcements are great, and its nice to see dates for some of the previously announced ones. Save my caution around the new Yoshi game, everything else looks great.

From just Nintendo there should be Smash, Mario Kart, and 3D Mario at the very least. But outside of Nintendo there will be plenty. Least of all the likely blowout / first hands on impressions of PS4 / neXtBox stuff. E3 will be bountiful.

I've been wondering whether ALttP 2 features the same Link as the original. If it does, it'd make the already-busiest Link we've seen even busier, being featured in five games (ALttP, Season, Ages, THIEF's Awakening, and now this). Despite that I'm not known as much of a Zelda player, I'm looking forward to this more than the other titles. Despite the seemingly lazy wall puzzles and what Fry said about its graphics, it seems close enough to ALttP in gameplay terms. And despite that I worried about 2D games may fade away now that 3DS is here (even the least powerful system in the current gen is fully 3D-capable --> developers will be less encouraged to make 2D games), and that consequently I'm glad to see M&L4 and YI3, I actually feel doubtful about them, because I don't want 2D graphics that aren't properly scaled shoved into my face like many N64 games (and Mario Kart DS and all SSB titles) did. I'm fine with 2D grpahics. But if they look like they're produced from transforming 3D graphics into 2D (without visible outlines and such), they either belong to a lower system (CAMELOT's GBA games, besides Mario Tennis, made good use of this), or should be presented in actual 3D in the first place - even when they don't really have a 3D form (since they aren't really converted from 3D graphics). Also, sorry for all this confusing rant.

Yeah I was hoping to see a continuation of OoT Link. Remember he was still looking for Navi even after Majora's Mask.

Tomorrow at 7am Pacific Time, there will be another set of Nintendo Directs. The American one says there will be both Wii U and 3DS games, while the Japanese one only mentions Wii U. Wonderful 101 please?

Will watch the JP one as usual. Since E3 is coming in June, I wonder what will they announce in Nintendo Direct. 3D Mario, Mario Kart and Smash Bros won't be in this Nintendo Direct, and I think they'll probably show the new Zelda in E3 as well. Same for Bayonetta 2 and SMT x FE. That leaves us with The Wonderful 101, Wii Fit U, Wind Waker and maybe Yarn Yoshi.
Fire Emblem 14 No, I can wait for that.

If Nintendo were smart they could drop some pre-E3 megatons here (3D Mario? Smash trailer?) to draw attention to them ahead of the new Xbox reveal in a few days.
So, Wii Fit U it is.
