*is back from a 3 day vacation* Hey, how's it goin- what is this?
I better not fall into a coma. For all I know, I could wake up with flying cars, smell-o-vision and HL3.
Anyway, Black/White 2 with Kyurom/Kyuram for the DS. Huh, partially saw that one coming, and I've got to say I like the crude designs for Kyurom and Kyuram, kind of makes look like the Null pokemon tried to emulate the ideas behind truth and ideals, but did so crudely.
Anyway, things that interest me are story elements, moves available from move tutors and possible changes to the structure of how we generically play a pokemon game, if there will be any. I wonder how the fans and fantards are taking the whole "B&W 2 and not Gray version" and "for the DS, not 3DS, luls" stuff. I won't have an opinion on the topic until more info comes out, but chances are I'll buy it (White 2) anyway...

The decision to release them as "sequels" rather than enhanced remakes does suggest a continuation of the story, although I still expect it will simply be another "third game", being a remake of the first with a few new bits bolted on.
I guess we shall see. The new Kyurem designs are weird and... Kinda make a lot of sense.

Just had a thought . . . Considering that B&W both had actual different features from one another (ignore the different Pokemon in each version, and pay attention to Gym Leader, battle types and exclusive areas) What if . . . they continue this trend with the sequel, so that it results in players to be better off buying the opposite version 2 of their original game (eg those that brought Black buy White V2) to get features/areas that weren't in the first versions game? (This also prevents the issue of a "Grey" version that has to contain both features/area from B&W).

That's what I was thinking of doing if (and admittedly that's a big 'if') I got one of these sequels.
So far, however, the version exclusives seem to have swapped completely - Black now features the Black legendary, and White features the white one, so if you went White and then Black 2, you might end up with the Black guy twice. Or something. Who knows what they are doing over there?

Forgot to post this last week. Makes one wonder whether Kyurem would get his alternate forms in a similar way in the game.
Loving the musketeers animated. Together, they look as cool as the Ecruteak trio.

According to NeoGAF, an "insider" seems to have obtained info regarding the next pokemon games, Black 2 & White 2, something I found while checking out GoNintendo today. As for now, they're pretty much just rumors, but it's still interesting, to say the least: RumorsSource: GoNintendoWhile I expect them to be false, it would be interesting to see Game Freak change it up a bit. I'm not getting my hopes up, though.

I'm calling bullshit. Introducing a second set of starters (or any stand-alone Pokémon at all) would break connectivity between gen 5 games, there's nothing in BW1 to deal with them. But there is placeholder data to let BW1 deal with Kyurem's forms, so they're obviously going to be compatible.

Naw duuude it's, like, Gold and Silver where there's old and new monsters only it takes place in England and it's still Gen5 but you can't trade away the new monsters don't look for patterns Nintendo never made a direct sequel before open your eyesss

So, as I suspected, the rumour was a load of rubbish. BW2 is set in Unova two years after the events of BW1 (which is exactly what I was hoping for, personally). Unova is now partially frozen, and a few new areas have been added to the map, including a new starting city. They revealed two new gym leaders (poison and water), and that the Unova Pokédex now goes up to 300, with a mixture of Unova Pokémon and older Pokémon.

So now I can have a mixed Gen party without having to trade with my other games right at the start. Hooray! New characters have some funky hairdos going on. I guess the new male trainer is wearing a sun visor cap, but it looks like uncontrolled hair growth exploded through his hat. I don't even know what's going on with the professor's hair Half the world map being screwed over is interesting. Hopefully the uneffected areas aren't totally copy/pasted from the previous game. Oh and for the hell of it, here are the fake scan images someone made about the whole England thing

From the old Pokémon that are in the scans or mentioned, most of them aren't surprising considering they already appear in Eastern Unova in Pokémon Black/White. It could mean that area is accessible from the beginning. And Eevee could be a traditional gift Pokémon during the course of the game. I was actually fond of the idea of a prequel so we could see the crowning of N in more detail, some more exploration of the legend of the twin heroes, more explanation for the Abyssal Ruins messages and items, etc. It being in the future may or not explain what happened to N and Ghetsis afterwards. If Kyurem's transformations happen as explained in the anime (by absorbing the genes of the dragons), and Black 2 is meant to be Black's sequel (White 2 being White's), then the opposite dragon should be returning after the partnership with N that happened at the end of the first part. Also, anime stuff! Pirouette Forme Meloetta is at the end. Next year is totally Genesect's. Which likely means 1 or more new Pokémon in 2014, at least in anime.

I think the new player characters look pretty stupid, but the explanation my friend gave me that the area they're from corresponds to New Joisey softens the blow. Anyway, I love the fact that not only is this a sequel, it looks to be radically different. And two new gym leaders, that brings it up to 10 in total. This is probably gonna be the biggest Pokemon game yet
