I doubt there'll be ten Gym Leaders... On the new world map, the encroaching ice has covered up (and presumably blocked access to) Striaton and Nacrene. These new leaders are most likely there to replace Cilan/Chili/Cress and Lenora.
EDIT: Looks like it might be covering Icirrus City, too. Which could mean there's a third unannounced Gym Leader to replace Brycen. Or maybe they've moved his Gym into Twist Mountain to mirror Blaine moving into Seafoam Island, since the cave is still there but wouldn't actually lead anywhere. Or maybe nothing happened and Icirrus is fine, it's hard to see that part of the map.
EDIT 2: I'm bored and trying to avoid doing any actual work, so I decided to compare the two maps. Here's a list of BW places that are missing from the BW2 map.
Nuvema Town Accumula Town Striaton City Nacrene City Icirrus City Lacunosa Town Undella Town Victory Road and Pokémon League (interesting) Black City/White Forest Dreamyard Wellspring Cave Pinwheel Forest Part of Skyarrow Bridge (about half is still on the map) Dragonspiral Tower Moor of Icirrus Giant Chasm (It looks like this is in the center of the ice, which would make sense if Kyurem is the cause) Marvelous Bridge Abundant Shrine Routes 1, 2, 3, 8, 10, 13, 14 and 15
Route 17 and 18 seem to still be there, but I couldn't find a scan that clearly showed that corner of the map. Cold Storage is also gone, replaced by a different building next to a large crater. And Route 4 looks completely different.

I guess that means we'll never get to see Cynthia in bikini! That amount of ice on Unova is crazy and makes me wonder what will happen with the season mechanics that were so characteristic of Unova. Regarding my Eastern Unova hypothesis, Serebii just posted a leaflet that shows Volcarona, the Unova starters and Marill. Marill can also be obtained indirectly as an Eastern Unova Pokémon in Pokémon White (wild Azurill from the White Forest).

I'm sure after certain events in the game, the ice melts.

I'm sure after certain events in the game, the ice melts. You know what's cute? Suddenly heard teen myself's voice echoed through time saying those very words about Zora's Domain ;D

According to 1:15, trainer sprites are now animated too! I'm betting most sprites just wiggle akwardly before deploying their monster out of nowhere though

You know what's cute? Suddenly heard teen myself's voice echoed through time saying those very words about Zora's Domain ;D That's a little different seeing how you can still visit Zora's Domain in the past as normal. Obviously Kyurem is causing this problem and after the problem is resolved you can visit those areas.

Obviously Kyurem is causing this problem and after the problem is resolved you can visit those areas. It's possible... but the official map usually shows everything in the region that's accessible without special event items or Pokémon. The fact that none of those places are on the map at all suggests to me that they're not in the game.

www.tinygif.net/pictures/6334992604f8a462ac7ecc.gifCheck it out. The new areas have already been covered by Serebii, but look at the frozen inaccessible areas. There's a mountain/river/waterfall type area to the right of the pokemon league, and two new islands south east of Giant Chasm on the East Coast. Even more to the right of the pokemon league area is what appears to be a lake of some sort. A Mountain behind Dragonspiral also exists. The Pokemon league itself might also be a giant crater, though it's not very clear.

Why are there some new areas UNDER the ice? Some people think that the ice will disappear, and it's only there to cover up spoilers.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I was thinking it'd be some ingame 'fog of war' kind of thing where more of the world map would be visible as you mosey through the screwed up area... but it's more likely it's just a magazine only cover up and the place is actually just fine and dandy.
Ohwell, in that case atleast we won't have a buttload of snow mazes and ice caves

There are underwater routes, I guess equivalent to "bridges", though. Why? I still think they are inaccessible areas that will become accessible... But I'll feel like an idiot (and enjoy it) if the Pokémemes picture's theory becomes true

New forms (Formes?) for the god trio (Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus)! ] Serebii.net points out that this "bird" was actually Tornadus. They have posted some rumors, too, like cameos of major characters from earlier Pokémon games.
