This morning Nintendo launched a new puzzle for streetpass featuring Kid Icarus. Go into your notification, and there should be a message telling you that a new puzzle is available. Head to the streetpass plaza, and you will randomly receive one of the Kid Icarus panels.
With this development, perhaps we will see more puzzles for other games like Fire Emblem and Luigi's Mansion 2 when they are close to release.

I hope for FE13, LM2, PM4 and MP9 in the future.

I do hope they keep this up for future games when we're closing in on their release dates. If anything, it's just one good way to advertise these games.

Hmm.. seems Nintendo is really going out of their way to promote Kid Icarus. This is pretty cool actually... now I wish Nintendo would make sequels to Punch Out and Legendary Starfy so I can have new StreetPass puzzles based on those two. Oh, and a Pushmo one as well.

That would be great! I wonder how many StreetPass puzzles the Nintendo 3DS will end up with at the end of its lifespan... I don't even bother with Streetpass Quest/Find Mii! anymore. I just spend all of my Play Coins on Puzzle Swap. I'm happy with my pirate hat.

Remember that your coins can't buy pink pieces or new panels. Those can only be gotten through streetpass or spotpass.
In other streetpass news, Nintendo has started sending gold Miis to Japanese 3DS systems. The first Mii featured Iwata to mark the first anniversary of the 3DS, and this week they sent Shuzo Matsuoka, who is the spokesman for Mario & Sonic At the Olympic Games. Both are level 5 swordsmen and have all puzzle pieces except for the Kid Icarus puzzle.

Hope we get those miis soon. I really want Reggie's.
Also, I managed to get 18 peices of the Kid Icarus puzzle and can already tell that it's Pit facing down those pink eyeball enemies from above, and yet no pink peices. Do you have to be really lucky with the first piece of the puzzle you get for free to get a pink piece?

Yes, it's all completely random, but people have a 20% chance at getting a pink piece. I imagine in a couple months you should be able to find quite a few of them on the street.

I have a friend who went to Japan and he got all the puzzles finished in about two days. It's amazing seeing all the puzzle pieces swirling around the city.
Also, Iwata is now arriving on 3DS's over here. Like in Japan, he's a level 5 swordsman with all puzzle pieces.

North America gets Reggie, not Iwata.

Yup. I used Reggie to give me the first piece for Mario Kart 7 puzzle.

At least two new puzzles are available. One is Fire Emblem, and the other one which I received is Mario Tennis Open.

North America and Europe get the Mario Tennis Open puzzle while Japan got the Fire Emblem: Awakening puzzle. Now we're region-specific? God dammit! As if it wasn't hard enough to collect the pieces.
