Okay, this thing is becoming awesomer the more I hear about it. What games have been shown for it? Lessee... LittleBigPlanet, with camera functionality to add your own face to the sackboys, touchscreen level creation, and the ability to trade costumes and other purchases with the PS3 versions... Street Fighter X Tekken with playable Cole McGrath from inFamous... Oddworld Stranger's Wrath AND Munch's Odyssey compilation!!! Oh man...this thing is packin' heat! Somebody "Todd" me, because I'm too busy jizzing all over my keyboard to "Todd" myself.

*Sweeps all of it from your keyboard*
Call me stupid for this- but I see that 3DS got a bad contender. And more varying games are here for this portable too! (-lvl-)
Little offtopic it might to be mention but-
YAY FOR RAYMAN AND SLYYYYYYY

I must admit, the Sony conference had some highlights. For me, Street Fighter X Tekken and Sly Cooper were pretty cool reveals. And that 3D TV thing that does away with split screen multiplayer by showing different images to each player is just... genius!
But the Vita? I think the price point is going to cause Nintendo 3DS trouble, but I was a little underwhelmed with the showing.
Also, love how PS3 uses motion control and PSV uses touch screen control to provide the conference's keyword: "New Experiences"...
...
...New if this was 2005, maybe!

Hang on... price point? Isn't it more expensive than the 3DS?

I guess we have to wait and see what horrendous markup the UK stores add to the price... but not really. $250 for the wifi model and $299 for Wifi and 3G.

$250 is the same price as the 3DS isn't it? That's what the internet is telling me. I'm also seeing reports that the UK price is around £235, which is quite a bit more than the 3DS' £160.

Yes, but don't forget the 3DS was going to launch at £230, but Nintendo Europe left everyone open to fight over the launch price. Which they did. Game still launched it at £230... and judging by their frantic price drops on hardware and software, I bet they're feeling pretty silly ;D

I didn't know about all that. I've actually never looked at the 3DS' price before today, I already knew I couldn't afford it yet. Still it seems like, at best, the PSV is going to be the same price as the 3DS... and have pretty much the same functionality, sans 3D. The only significant feature I can find is the whole AT&T thing, which costs extra, and lets you play online anywhere. But everyone I know generally only play handheld consoles outside of home when they're waiting around in places or riding public transport... which increasingly have free Wi-Fi available anyway. So it doesn't really make up for it for me.

PlayStation VistaVita, hmm... Well, I'm surprised to see it's not 3D. Oh man...this thing is packin' heat! Somebody "Todd" me, because I'm too busy jizzing all over my keyboard to "Todd" myself. Fine.

That's like saying the PSP and DS are the same Looking back, the PSP has had a ton of incredible games, showing off the graphical superiority over the DS as well as... ahem, analog control...

I only managed to find about five PSP games I was interested in, unfortunately. DS on the other hand... I know for sure that I own at least 30.

Did they release the specs for that Vita thing? From little what I've seen the graphics look better than the 3DS'. Only a new Megaman Powered Up can convince me of buying one though

Some more Vita games I just found out about. Bioshock, Rayman Origins, and Metal Gear Solid are all getting brought over. More excitement boiling up for this little machine...

Well, I was playing Playstation before I owned an N64, so I may be a little biased... Yeah, Playstation wasn't a thing when I was growing up, so I'm definitely biased. They get the odd few games I'm interested enough in to buy usually, but most of the series I actively follow are the ones from my childhood. And only a few of them migrated to Playstation-exclusivity. As is the way with these things, it will almost certainly end up in my house eventually. But I'm not seeing any reasons for me to pick it up just yet. My girlfriend will probably buy one once they make a Kingdom Hearts for it.
