Okay, here's some suggestions. Nintendo: There's not that many scary villains left! Let's see... You could do some StarTropics enemies. Maxie left an imprint on me as a kid, personally. Then there's the weird, WEIRD Bonehead, which I may draw this year for my own Halloween project. The Waterwraith from Pikmin 2 was also quite frightening. Capcom: I'm going to suggest some non-traditional characters for Capcom. I think Viola Cadaverini from Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations would be a fantastic addition to Nintober, myself. She's quite disturbing. Secondly, consider Lord Riptor from Darkstalkers! Square-Enix: Lavos from Chrono Trigger remains one of my more memorable final boss encounters, and it's a little weird and creepy, too. For the second, I'd like to suggest Pumpkinhead from Ogre Battle. A little more adorable looking than most, but these things are monsters on the battleground. Konami: Dracula's great, but I'd vouch for a Silent Hill 2-style Nurse over Pyramid Head, personally. Namco: My knowledge of Namco is more limited, so I'll concur with the Pac Man ghosts and leave it at that. Sega: A Skies of Arcadia suggestion! (surprise) I'd love to see Alania (see here). As for a second, Hydra from Shinobi III is quite nasty (boss of the third stage). See end of this clip:

I need a few more Nintendo ideas. I will explain why later.

Two good ones there! As for Mad Piano...It doesn't have to be a final boss, just creepy monsters/villains. I know most of them ARE final bosses this year, but that's just because there's been a surprising number of games this year with suitable final bosses. Basically, rather than piggybacking on Nintober 2008 to fill out some of the gaps, I'm going to update the 2008 Nintober entries now, put them in the (also-updated) template, change the numbering so they're all sequential, and then kick off from there this October. The 2011 entries are already in the new template and I'm about halfway through the 2008 entries already.

I just want to clarify that the Woman in Black I mentioned earlier, is a Nintendo character, not a Tecmo character. Spirit Camera is a spin off of Fatal Frame, but Nintendo is owner of the Spirit Camera IP. If you consider her, I can get you better pictures of her since Spirit Camera has a screenshot function.

With less than a month until Nintober begins, I have been working away on a few things in preparation. New TemplateMy plan all along was for the Nintober template to resemble the Smash Bros. trophy pages. Sadly, I ran out of time last year to do a new one before Nintober had started. Anyway I went back through all my old files and updated them all to a new template. Clearly based on Brawl's trophy pages, and with three spaces for past games, where relevant. You may also notice the numbering is different. Last year's finale isn't 031., but 042. WTF? Well, all is explained: Nintobervilltch 2008Nintober spawned from a 2008 project called Nintobervilltch. The plan was for one Nintendo villain sketch a day for the last 16 days of October, but I ended up only doing 11. They were just sketches, some were unfinished, some were just rough, there were no descriptions, and they were just villains rather than scary monsters... I was planning to allow the 2008 villains to be nominated for this year's, but then I had a change of heart. I decided to give the 2008 entries their rightful place at the head of Nintober, and overhaul them all. Some don't really fit the overall monster theme, but I decided against cutting any out. So you can see the 11 updated entries here, finally finished after nearly 4 years! 001. Mother Brain002. King K. Rool (Donkey Kong Country)003. Jinbe (Mole Mania)004. Medeus (Fire Emblem)005. Koume & Kotake (Ocarina of Time)006. Captain Syrup (Wario Land)007. Marx (Kirby Super Star)008. Medusa (Kid Icarus)009. Giygas (Mother/EarthBound)010. Zoda (Star Tropics)011. FINALE! Hunting Dog (Duck Hunt)Nintober 2012 ScheduleAfter removing the spaces allocated to the 2008 entries, I needed some more Nintendo villains. I then decided to drop having two 5-day Guest Weeks in favour of one full Guest Week, then fill the rest of the spaces. I made a few further changes based on suggestions and characters who didn't quite make it last year. The schedule, as it stands, is as follows: 01/10 Dry Bowser (New Super Mario Bros.) 02/10 Shuppet & Banette (Pokemon: Ruby/Sapphire) 03/10 Magolor (Kirby’s Return to Dream Land) 04/10 Aparoid Pigma (Star Fox Assault) 05/10 King Boo (Luigi’s Mansion) 06/10 Cactus King (Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat) 07/10 Ganondorf & Ganon (The Legend of Zelda Series) GUEST WEEK 08/10 Dracula (Castlevania [Konami]) 09/10 Blinky, Pinky, Inky & Clyde (Pac-Man [Namco]) 10/10 Astaroth (Ghosts ‘n Goblins [Capcom]) 11/10 Kefka (Final Fantasy VI [Square-Enix]) 12/10 Mother (House of the Dead: Overkill [Sega]) 13/10 Nemesis T-Type (Resident Evil [Capcom]) 14/10 Pyramid Head (Silent Hill [Konami]) 15/10 Omega Metroid (Metroid II: Return of Samus) 16/10 Duskull, Dusclops & Dusknoir (Pokemon Series) 17/10 Great Reaper (Kid Icarus: Uprising) 18/10 Black Shadow (F-Zero X) 19/10 Marx Soul (Kirby Super Star Ultra) 20/10 Mimi (Super Paper Mario) 21/10 Woman in Black (Spirit Camera) 22/10 Zanza (Xenoblade) 23/10 Gimle (Fire Emblem: Awakening) 24/10 Zeron (Pandora’s Tower) 25/10 Dark Lord (StreetPass Quest II) 26/10 Necrodeus (Kirby: Mass Attack) 27/10 Giratina (Pokemon Diamond/Pearl) 28/10 Phantoon (Super Metroid) 29/10 Hades (Kid Icarus: Uprising) 30/10 Demise (The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword) 31/10 FINALE!On top of all this, I need help with a few things: 1. I want to do live feeds of drawing, which requires my desktop to be recorded and uploaded to somewhere. Is there a relatively inexpensive way of doing this? On a Mac? 2. If anyone can track down some decent full-body official art or screenshots of Aparoid Pigma, Mother (HotD:O), Zanza (Xenoblade), Woman in Black (Spirit Camera) or Gimle (Fire Emblem), I am having trouble finding these. Cheers everyone! Less than 4 weeks to go!

I can get you pictures for Pigma, Woman in Black, and probably Zanza. I actually haven't seen any pictures of Gimle, but I'm sure that YL can hook you up. Though I should ask, which version of Zanza do you want?

I never actually beat Xenoblade Chronicles, so I'm not 100% sure. But whichever final battle Zanza looks the most horrible

Glad to see my House of the Dead suggestion there, but I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed that the Vortex Queen didn't make it. Ecco the Dolphin may not be a horror game, per se, but any kid who played it back in the day will tell you that it scared the carp out of them! (Especially if they stumbled upon the infamous "Q" code.)

Well, you're up for a real challenge then. As Zanza is probably one of the most complex looking character you have. Here is his final form, and you probably won't get a better picture than that.

Fire Emblem 13 story spoiler: --> Gimlé refers to either the huge horned evil dragon you see in the opening movie, or an evil version of Reflet (My Unit) possessed by Gimlé from the apocalypstic alternate-world future where the main timeline's heroes fell. Almost all of the fanart you can find of Gimlé are of the latter (possessed Reflet). <-- End spoiler. And there is no official still artwork of Gimlé that I know of. --> Your best best for Gimlé's dragon form is from the game's cutscenes, and since My Unit is customizable, there is no artwork of their possessed form. They look identital to My Unit in the game, but with a purplish dark aura around their 3D model. As for the said cutscenes I mentioned: Opening: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx7GaUMy_nk 1:37-ish Final Chapter: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm39f5oEQSA Near the beginning Possessed My Unit is much easier to find - just search on Pixiv: www.pixiv.net/tags.php?tag=%E3%82%AE%E3%83%A0%E3%83%AC%E3%83%BC <-- (obviously, do not visit linked pages if you want to avoid spoilers) ...So there you go. Also, this is considered spoiler (the mention of Gimlé's true identity, that is; apearance is fine if it's in the opening anyway, I guess) for a game largely unreleased in the West (save for those who import), so take extra caution if you want to avoid spoiling for your readers.

I've got a lot of final boss characters from recent games this year, so I'm going to have to be extra careful with spoilers for a lot of them
