No, no Bandai characters. I know they merged, but the idea is just to stick with Namco for now (they have a better back catalogue anyway). I did the same with Konami and Hudson, and will do the same with Square Enix and Taito (however Square & Enix will be merged because take out FF and DQ and you don't actually have many games...)
I will cover the merged companies that are worth covering. Including Hudson and Taito. Probably not Bandai though...
Pino and Acha from Toy Pop Devil Jin from Tekken 5 (or any variation of Yoshimitsu) Digger from Dig Dug (or Mr. Driller since they're related) The Prince from Katamari Damacy (or the King of All Cosmos since he's so fabulous) Voldo from Soul Calibur( The Sould Calibur II version with the badages and gag ball) Definitely Klonoa and Mappy The cheeseburger-head guys from Point Blank on the PSOne Richard Miller from Time Crisis.

I'm not sure I'm fond enuff of Namco's characters to think of ones I want to see drawn, but let's see...
Pac-man is the obvious choice, but you've already drawn him. Klonoa is pretty cool, I guess, tho I've never played any of the games. Amul from Dragon Spirit should have a shout out. Taizo Hori from Dig Dug. Albatross from Rolling Thunder, perhaps. Cassandra from Soul Calibur. (Or maybe Kilik. I'm having a hard time remembering what other characters I used besides Link. ) Colette from Tales of Symphonia, 'cause everyone else is voting for Lloyd. A Galaga (those bug things that capture your ship). Red Baron & Blue Max from Sky Kid. Gilgamesh from Tower of Druaga.
I don't know, I'm kinda indifferent to a lot of Namco's characters.
Not wanting to pick characters already chosen/on the chart, I'll go with...
Ninja (I-Ninja) Libble and Rabble (Libble Rabble. Does this count as two?) Asbel (Tales of Graces) Seigfried (Soul Calibur) Sanger Zonvolt (Super Robot Wars OG Saga) Wild Dog (Time Crisis) King Of All Cosmos (Katamari Damacy. I like this guy better than The Prince <_<) Clyde (Pac-Man) Jack Slate (Dead To Rights)
You're not very familiar with this voting concept are you
If you only pick characters not on the list, they will only get 1 vote and therefore be very unlikely to be drawn. That's why I wanted your personal faves or ones you liked the look of. I'm trying to pick a handful to draw. Not that there's anything wrong with your list, of course.
Edit: I've also removed Sanger Zonvolt as he's a Banpresto character. That's the Bandai half of BNG, and this is just the Namco half we're looking at here.
Nester the Lark: Hello, NinDB world! Post your shouts here! (But be careful not to wake the neighbors. )

nocturnal YL: Guys, guys! I can't believe what I found in Zelda 1! The game features an Elimination Mode that for some reason not many talked about! I wonder if it's fun? (Don't actually try it.)

nocturnal YL: Hey, I can edit shoutbox posts! This is already better than Twitter!

Nester the Lark: It seems like Cadence of Hyrule should be more popular than it is. Are people put off by the rhythm aspect? Or the randomly-generated maps?
Jul 24, 2020 14:01:59 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: ↑ Might warrant its own thread, but I think mixing rhythm and other genres usually resuls in gameplay too difficult for many. I can't handle it well either, judging from my scores in Dedede's Drum Dash.

nocturnal YL: ↑ For me personally, it simply hasn't been considered. It's a download-only game (until now) from a series I'm unfamiliar with and didn't feel like trying out.
Jul 24, 2020 23:02:40 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: Ironically, I did create a thread for Cadence of Hyrule, but then deleted it thinking there wouldn't be any discussion on it. Maybe I'll go ahead and make a new one.

Shrikeswind: Something to bear in mind about the shoutbox if you’re not already aware: It doesn’t show up on the mobile version of the forums. This shouldn’t be a major problem, but it can make it difficult to get into discussions for mobile visitors.
Jul 26, 2020 1:40:18 GMT -5
Shrikeswind: Also the more obvious character limit issues, and the format not really being conducive to longer-term discussion. It’s useful but limited; threads definitely still have their place.

Shrikeswind: (Honestly, Proboards mobile is pretty bad in general, but...)

Nester the Lark: Not sure if this works on all devices, but you can force the desktop version of the forum by scrolling all the way to the bottom and clicking the "Desktop" link at the lower right.

Shrikeswind: I’m aware. I’m typing this from my phone. I’m just pointing out that, for people who aren’t aware or who may be casually checking in on their phone, the shoutbox won’t be visible on

Shrikeswind: Is there a Discord for NinDB, by the way? It’s very popular with them there young’ns these days, so it might help activity.
Jul 26, 2020 22:07:47 GMT -5
Nester the Lark: There is no NinDB Discord. There was a brief discussion of it a few years ago, but nothing ultimately came of it. I rarely use Discord, myself.
Jul 27, 2020 8:58:28 GMT -5
Shrikeswind: Hm. Seems like it might be a good idea if activity picks up. Not to be a pessimist but I do have my doubts that'll happen though.

Shrikeswind: Okay not a Nintendo topic but I kinda need to talk about this because I just learned it and it's a thing so bleh.

Shrikeswind: You remember Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, right? So apparently, 5 year old me was incapable of discerning male and female in non-humans, because *apparently* there's a female gargoyle, and the goat's a boy.
