I was really hoping Magicant would be on the Wii U version as well. What a shame!

The fire marshal says you can't play every stage in 8-Player Smash. However, there are more stages available for 5 to 6 players than for 7 to 8. Su-weet! Hopefully the amount increases quite a bit as 8-player mode has about Smash Bros 64 amount of map selection. And no custom stages, apparently (still holding out faint hope custom stages are playable with 5/6 players). The indie trophy is pretty neat, though I'd be more excited if it were an indie game I actually like (also commander video already getting crammed into crapton of other indie games as a cameo devalues it a bit for me)

Wasn't there some potential rights issues with Baten Kaitos? Hopefully this means those were cleared up.

Wasn't there some potential rights issues with Baten Kaitos? Hopefully this means those were cleared up. On the other hand, Namco is involved with this game so it could just be them throwing BK fans a bone. I'm just impressed they remixed the song and not just ripped it from Origins.

I've been listening to some of the music in the game. I'm definitely impressed by both the selection and the actual remixes. On the topic of music, why doesn't this play in Smash 3DS?

The Style Savvy remix is pretty good. It's still early, but I'm more impressed by the variety and quality of this soundtrack compared to Brawls (which I also liked).

Pic of the day. Playing Classic mode with two players means you can battle the Master-type opponents together…but your opponents will also be powered up. The foe in this picture is Master Beast. The Wii U version-exclusive Master Fortress is only available in single-player mode. You’ll need to attack its heartlike cores.

All of those ugly stands going up their butts...

Do secret fighters have these too? I hope they do, because there's otherwise no way to have FPs for those. And I'm still waiting to see Mr. Game & Watch's figure.

All of those ugly stands going up their butts... How to put this delicately... Oh yeah.

You'd think, given both the need for those butt-sticks and the fact that these Amiibo are compatible with more than just Smash Bros., they'd have come up with new models specifically for the figures instead of just copying their Smash Bros. website renders.

We need more Todd. Pic of the day. In earlier Smash Bros. games, the Temple served as a prototypical large stage. Now it's remastered beautifully in HD.The one large change we made to this stage is this Hylian text. I wonder what it says? Also featured in this pic is Link in Fierce Deity colors.
