Doesn't SF4 have like 5 characters based on Ryu?
Time to bring in more plumber folk! Time to bring in Waluigi, Foreman Spike and Stanley!

Time to bring in more plumber folk! Time to bring in Waluigi, Foreman Spike and Stanley! Aw...I want Waluigi. He's already been shown using a tennis racket. I think he'd probably end up a Wario clone but with a go kart instead of a motorcycle.

As much as I reiterate that Waluigi is not Smash Bros.-levels of notable, I think I'd still rather have him than Stanley. And I have no idea how you'd conceivably make Waluigi into a clone of Wario in any capacity. Their bodies are absolutely nothing alike.

I'm posting this here because who the hell cares. It's an apparent DLC leak. If it's fake, then bleh. If it's real, then cool. Also, those renders are the trophy renders. Just so ya know.

I think it's dubious that a DLC leak would surface this quickly.

Seriously cannot wait to play SSB4... I'm so hyped to play as the characters I didn't get in Brawl like Mega Man, Pac-Man, Little Mac, Villager, Mii Fighters, and especially Duck Hunt.

Speaking of rumors, has anyone seen this rumor that appeared on NeoGAF. m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=129528236Basically mentions that a guy knows someone at NoE who has seen playable Dixie, Ridley, Chorus Men and Mewtwo and will be unlocked once the Wii U is connected to the 3DS. (Or some sort of free DLC for 3DS owners) There also the interesting fact that the download for Smash Bros says it's 2.1 GB and the game isn't even close to that size.
Not related to that rumor is the awesome feature that the 3DS can be used as a controller for the Wii U version, so it can be used for more than transferring customized characters to and fro. Also a thought I has about this whole clone situation. - Clones get added, people complain. - Clones get removed from sequel, people complain. (Imagine in a few years time when the next Smash Bros comes out and people complain about Dark Pit, Dr Mario and Lucina being removed).

My biggest gripe with the clones (Dr. Mario's return, Dark Pit, Lucina) is that they didn't bother to revive Pichu and Roy, who are just as clonely and would have taken less development time than Doc to implement. I think if they brought those two back as well, the balance of cut content vs. returning content would have been softer to me.
But I actually really dislike Dark Pit because it's just going to be confusing once you add colors to the mix. The only difference is color and some facial details you won't notice with how zoomed out the Smash games are. Dark Pit bothers me because he makes the game less readable, not because he exists. This would have been way more forgivable if he had a different stance, at the least, and maybe some of the attacks Pit gave up between Brawl and SSB4.

I was worried about that with some of Mario and Luigi's palettes being similar, but the coloured outlines and constant markers above everyone's heads (at least in the demo) will probably make it easier. You can tap your character on the bottom screen to put a third marker on them too. I think I would've preferred it if Pit kept his full moveset from Brawl and Dark Pit got these new Uprising-based moves instead.

I'm pretty sure this was disproven. The game has already been ripped and no extra character details were found. On another note, in the original leak when a few sexy trophy angles were posted, there was a Tharja (sp?) trophy as well as 686 total. In the ripped files this trophy is gone and the total is 685.

The stage selection screen has a different ordering too. The ESRB leak build certainly wasn't the final game itself. Having the Wii U version copy data to the 3DS one instead of just unlocking on-card data is just silly (although it certainly did happen to past games). And do they attribute potential DLCs towards the game's size requirement? I thought the 2.1GB thing was only there to accomodate user-generated data (snapshots and replays), like how Brawl required 128 blocks for saving when the normal gameplay save would take nowhere nearly as much. Also a thought I has about this whole clone situation. - Clones get added, people complain. - Clones get removed from sequel, people complain. (Imagine in a few years time when the next Smash Bros comes out and people complain about Dark Pit, Dr Mario and Lucina being removed). They should make Smash a continuous service. Contents can be modular, and players can add/remove whatever they want. This would solve all problems of people wanting certain characters in or out.

I'd honestly be really surprised if there's no DLC. Nintendo are really into that lately. Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors are both getting it. Even Mario Golf got DLC characters, and that's nowhere near as high-profile as Smash Bros.
