Why? What makes this not fun? What makes this different from fan art? I mean, we know full well that none of what this guy is doing is real. He told us, hell, he outright showed us that it isn't real. Does fan-art piss you off too? Because that's what this is. That's what any fake leak is, except that unlike most, he's not pretending it's real to get unwarranted attention, because instead, he's admitting it's fake to get attention to him as an artist. He's advertising his artistic skill. If you can't appreciate his talent, that's okay, you don't have to. And if you can't enjoy the discussion surrounding fakery, that's okay, you don't have to. But it's not okay to be an ass about it.

I'm sure we've all seen it by now, but it seems like people who datamined the latest update found file data for two unannounced DLC characters. Highlight to read.Roy from Fire Emblem, and Ryu from Street Fighter Personally I'm kind of neutral and these characters. Not excited, but I don't hate the idea either.

Don't particularly care about Roy (there are better characters from his series), but I look forward to Roy-on-Roy battles.

Don't know what to say about Ryu. Are they going to get someone from every big series? Does that mean we'll also get characters from non-Sega, non-Capcom and non-Namco series?

EDIT - Now that I'm starting to look into it, I don't really get what that Reddit post is trying to say. The poster listed a few files that are changed, although they don't follow the naming convention of Smash music (maybe it's a 3DS/Wii U difference? Music H12, for example, is the Star Wolf theme from Assualt, but is associated with Zekrom and Reshiram's battle theme here.)

The poster has also given a file listing, but it did not contain any new character other than Mewtwo. The file listing looks real to me, but the BGM claim doesn't seem to be a supported claim. Is there anything I'm missing?

There are also talks of an Inkling trophy, two Rhythm Heaven-based soundtracks and Smash 64 Dream Land.

And I don't understand why there in the game when it seems like other characters would be a better fit.




But I'm seen the videos and . . . it's there and it's real and it's seems too elaborate to fake.




Seeing Ryu is a bit odd considering we already got Mega Man as a Capcom rep and Street Fighter hasn't really been on the Nintendo platforms for a while (outside of SSFIV 3DS) or an upcoming one.

Roy . . . Another Marth clone? . . . Semi clone? . . . Alt skin? A fifth Fire Emblem rep? And another one who uses a sword.

I'd imagine Roy is in as A: a stopgap while they're working on more completely original characters and 2: an attempt at completing the roster from Melee. I fully expect the Climbers and Pichu at this rate, frankly. Ditto with Wolf for Brawl, though probably not the other Pokemon Trainer Pokes.

Has more information on the hack, btw, including looks at alternate palettes, new Mii costumes, and even Ryu's stage. HE HAS A STAGE.

I think Wolf will come back for sure. Can't say about the Ice Climbers (depending on how much are they willing to make change to either the game's general UX or the Climbers' mechanics), and I do doubt about Pichu (for balance reasons, and I doubt they're willing to part with Pichu's self-damaging property).

I'm disappointed. The Direct showed FD Coliseum with 8 Roys on it, and I've updated the game only to find that this isn't available in the game itself.

Yes! I hope so. We got Dr. Mario, Mewtwo, and Roy... the next one I'm hoping for is Dixie Kong. My next choice after her would be Tetra (not Toon Sheik).
