The first major patch for the Switch version has just been released. (Cheeky releasing it on Halloween.) Version 1.0.3 purports to fix input lag, crashes, loading times, and visual fidelity. Version 1.0.4 is due out by the end of November, but it sounds more like it will just be for extra polish (and possibly address any issues with 1.0.3.) I'm still waiting for a proper comparison video. What I've seen so far does show vastly improved loading times, but you can't really tell much else from a video. Hopefully Gamexplain will do one. I still want to pick this up. It's a pretty good price right now. Just gonna wait for some more impressions. It's a good game from what I've played so far. The other day, a friend recommended it to me. It plays like Castlevania. Great music.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 has been announced. I'm happy for IGA that Bloodstained is turning into an actual franchise. I know Ritual of the Night and its Kickstarter were not without controversy (and what major Kickstarter isn't?), but Bloodstained seems to be succeeding where many others have failed. I still don't have Ritual of the Night, but I was hoping to get it this fall.

Bump. Shutaro, the director of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and who also worked on several Castlevania games, has been diagnosed with cancer. He is stepping away from work on the sequel.
