In addition to Cloud, we got Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates and Bayonetta!!!!
We also got new Mii costumes based on Tails, Knuckles, Ashley, Takamaru, and Geno!!!!
We also got Bayonetta's stage, Umbra Clock Tower, in addition to Cloud's Midgar stage!!!
I am hyped!!!!

A good presentation, surprised at Corrin and Bayonetta's inclusion. Corrin moveset looks pretty cool as well as Bayonetta's.
The videos announcing them were great as well. I expected Corrin would have been a new fighter for the next Smash Bros not DLC for this one. I thought Bayonetta's was going to announce another Kid Icarus character at first.
So did anyone vote (or knew someone who voted) for Bayonetta here though? I'm not against her being in, it just I really did not expect her to do so well in the poll.
Also great to see the Takumaru Mii fighter costume get in, though I was a bit surprised to not see more costumes get in (when they said 5th and 6th waves I expected more).

I think Corrin being in this Smash makes sense, since by the time the next Smash comes out, who knows what will happen to Fire Emblem. Between Melee and Brawl, Fire Emblem went through 3 iterations; similarly, Fire Emblem 15 may very well have come out if they are going to have a next Smash. Corrin would have been old news by then.
And new remix of if ~Hitori Omou~ (I haven't watched the presentation in English)! Yay!
Bayonetta was... well, I certainly didn't expect her. If she's #1 among the realisable characters, I wonder who are unrealisable. Some say non-game characters and those with licensing issues, but I suspect Inkling may also be one (with the ink physics and whatnot).
Also, time to watch the vocal fans cry about this presentation.
I voted for Isaac. Don't know if they'll track IP, so I voted only once per language* and machine (home computer, phone and work computer).
* English, Japanese and French; those are the only languages Smash is released in and I can write.

Smash Bros keeps trying its damndest to make me hate Fire Emblem. Remember how people always saw Ergheiz as an FF7 fighting game? Now Smash Bros is a Fire Emblem fighting game with some other characters thrown in. It's like, Fire Emblem x Mario x Pokemon.
Eh, I haven't bought any of the DLC. Nintendo goes overboard with the prices of its DLC. I gotta say though, when I saw Pit on the Bayonetta trailer, I was thinking "Oh god, we better not be getting another Kid Icarus character."
I was pleasantly surprised.
I just really REALLY wanted Golden Sun to have any sort of representation. We'll never get a new game.

And she's still barely doing any favors for the WarioWare series, nor does she even represent what it really stands for. Most of her fans know jack shit about it.
But to be completely fair, I kind of already saw that coming miles away. It's like with Geno and K. Rool.

Because she's a character trope/archetype that you can find just about anywhere else. Which doesn't help one bit when you have a whole bunch of otherwise unique/interesting characters in the same series as her. Plus, she was not even in the first game.
It's reached the point where they're deliberately trying to turn the series into "Ashley & Friends: Featuring Wario". People recognize her, but they don't know about what series she's from, nor do they even care to look into it. Everyone's forgotten about all the other characters as a result.
It's kind of like Captain Falcon all over again.

Loli characters like Ashley always get fanbases, add in the tsundere personality and she's basically destined to be the most popular WW character.
