Wave 3 of the DLC is out now, including a free update. Here are the full 1.1.0 patch notes. The free update includes: - Save slots increased from 5 to 25 - Battle appearance options - Jeritza joins your party in the Black Eagle: Crimson Flower path Nice coincidence that I happen to be in a playthrough for that path.

A little disappointed that Jeritza loses his helmet as a playable unit.

- Save slots increased from 5 to 25 I'm so glad they actually addressed this. 5 save slots isn't nearly enough for 4 routes. I also hope the oversight (?) that allows S supports to be unlocked in the next playthrough (※) isn't changed. They didn't change that in the last update, which might be a case of intentionally leaving it as is for the benefit of the players. Fire Emblem has a history of knowing how players would dig deep into the games' logic. (※) Support points can continue to raise after reaching A or A+ support for the purpose of calculating ending pairings. If Byleth continues to raise support points with a unit that they cannot reach S support with to the point that they reach 1001 points (which converts to S), the player can start a New Game+ with the opposite-gendered Byleth and simply unlock the S support with said unit. The conversation isn't shown in-game, but is unlocked in the support conversation viewer, saving much time for those aiming for 100% completion.

Jeritza has support with Byleth and Mercedes. Since I have finished Crimson Flower and only have near-endgame saves, that means I'll have to play Crimson Flower all over again just to collect his support conversations. Fun times.
He joined my team at level 35 with high skill levels across multiple weapon types. Is this his starting stats, or does it scale with the timing of him joining?

Jeritza does scale, he was level 27 at the start of the war phase when I got him. He's a really fun unit, he basically just slaughters anything in his path, even if he isn't as broken as his Death Knight persona.

I beat Crimson Flower yesterday, and I was surprised by the last map. I expected Cyril to be the weak link in the enemy formation, but he managed to be one of the toughest bosses in that entire route. Also death to Falcon Knight reinforcements. Never have I dreaded flying ponies as I have with this game.

Which difficulty? At Hard, the last map is full of surprises but manageable if I go from the center entrance and take the right path to reach Rhea. Cyril can be completely ignored by staying just outside of his range (possible with a powerful magic user who can attack at range 5).

I was on hard, I took the left path, because I figured Cyril would fall way easier than Catherine but he was basically It wasn't even that he was hitting particularly hard, but he just kept dodging everything.

Looks cool, but I still don't think I'll be getting it.

So this new story will be independent from the main story, with nothing from the main story carried over to it. I assume this also means I won't get anything in the main story by completing this. So there's actually no need to hold back playing the main game. Oh well. EDIT — Nothing is mentioned regarding updates outside of the story. If they are still there (and actually not exclusive to the new story), then yes, I still want to wait. Not that it matters; I'm already quite busy with other games.

Alright, I don't really know where to dump this information, but here are some info on 100% completion of the Extra menu. - If you plan to play the DLC, get it and play it. Don't waste time to do a non-DLC run beforehand.
- Goddess Tower events are viewable after an update. Pick the Byleth gender that can S support the route-exclusive students if you want to collect that. In other words, use female Byleth for Blue Lions and Golden Deer playthroughs, and male and female Byleth once each for the two Black Eagles playthroughs.
- Some supports are only possible in Part 1, and you'll have to play everything again to re-collect them if you miss them and don't have the old save files. The DLC astrologer (who raises friendship points) cannot be used for recouping supports lost in this manner. The offending pairs are:
- All Byleth C supports except Gilbert, Alois and Jeritza (who isn't in Part 1) - Byleth / Edelgard C+ - Byleth Rhea C, B and A (C and B are only available up to Chapter 9) C supports of: - Ferdinand / Constance - Claude / Lorenz - Dedue / Shamir - Ashe / Marianne (seriously, they locked a support pair because of Marianne's hairstyle change!?) - Ashe / Hapi - Gilbert / Catherine - Ingrid / Seteth A+ is only available in Azure Moon, and Byleth / Rhea S is only available in Silver Snow, despite these characters appearing in other routes.
This is some minor detail that I didn't see discussed that often, and the little information I can find online are inaccurate (especially on the DLC characters). It ended up quite a bit more frustrating than I thought. …Still better than juggling multiple playthroughs and save files for all possible parent/child pairs in FE Fates. And infinitely better than the GBA games, where you get 5 supports per character.
