I don't think they intend on getting rid of those characters. I'm sure we'll see them again despite the mother fucking assholes who are happy to see them absent. I sense some hostility.

- Palutena playable in Uprising in some capacity. - Krystal and Panther appear in Star Fox 64 3DS. Nintendo explains that they're rebooting the series, but wanted to keep them. - New Yoshi platformer for the Wii. - WarioWare for 3DS. According to the Qu, this was confirmed already. Left up so as not to make him look stupid. =P
Also, Koops, ease back on the RAGEOMANIA. That's my schtick.

Sorry I lost my head earlier. It's just there is a little worry in the back of many DK fans' minds that we may not see Kremlings and the other Kongs again. That's bad enough, but to have people celebrating about it... It's enough to get someone a bit edgy.
Either way, Funky was in freaking Mario Kart Wii, so I don't think I have to worry.

No one reasonable celebrates the DKCR scale-back including Dixie, Funky, and the Kremlings. Any celebration is aimed at the extraneous Kongs like Lanky. Creepy clown orangutan freak. Ahem. Most folks are fond of those two and the Krem. I mean, really, does anyone expect the Tikis back? I bet not in the scale we saw them in DKCR if they even return at all. I mean, what happened to the DKJB baddies? I'm glad for the diversity, it's a step towards a more Mario-esque world of Bowser and one-off villains. I mean, DKC's really only got 5 games to its main series. SMB's got 13. Think of DKCR as you will, but it's revitalized a series that's given Nintendo a lot of merit over 2 consoles. Donkey Kong goes back as far as Mario, and I'm personally surprised he hasn't been plugged as much.

And it's not like we haven't seen those other characters since the last DKC game. The best ones have become regulars in the Mario spin-offs at this point.

Hell, Dixie was the main protagonist and titular character for DKC3 - I think that amounts to something.

END OF 2011 BUMMMMMP!!!Time to look back at our yearly predictions! - 3DS comes out, and it's online turns out to crap like Nintendo's previous attemps (Hope I'm wrong, hope I'm wrong) - People get pissed off with OoT 3DS remake for not living up to the their hype, when it just turns out to be a simple remake of the original with nothing new added (not even from Master Quest). - Some former Nintendo published Japan only DS titles are finally released out side of Japan. - Vitality sensor released with Wii Relax, starts a new trend of biometric feedback games (every company soon copies it) - A new Starfy title announced for the 3DS. - Another Nintendo game is announced to feature user generated content. - A Wii game comes out that justify's the use of Wii Connect 24. - Resident Evil Revelation on the 3DS turns out to be crap and nothing like the original pitch/idea (just like RE 5) but still sells millions. - Ubisoft will do something stupid at E3 2011. - Valve continues to be awesome, - Valve starts to produce real life hats for TF2 as more TF2 hats are created for the game. - A Mario 3DS game that uses some form of augmented reality for platforming in the real world, OR a Nintendo game from a popular series (not new franchise) to use Augmented reality as it's main game feature. - Early 3DS games get complaints/frustation from gamers with games with many gameplay transistions to and from 3D top screen to touch screen and causing people to lose sight of the 3D effect. - Online proved to be better than expected - Did have MQ, was pretty good. - Didn't happen - Vitality sensor/Wii Relax not released or even shown. - No new Starfy game. - Er . . . Pushmo/Pushbox anyone? - Sadly no . . . - Hasn't been released yet, but early reviews indicate that it's good but no confirmation on if it works like the original game pitch. - Ubisoft showed the world Mr Caffiene- Valve still remains awesome. - Sadly, no . . . - Didn't happen - Only 3DS complaints were about original price and headaches from 3D effect.

My end of 2012 predictions:- A remake of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is planned for the Wii U and will feature handheld->screen features cut from the final. - Genius Sonority announce a new Pokémon RPG for the Wii U. - A new Starfy game is announced. - A Wii/U connectivity update to transfer NES games to the Nintendo 3DS. - More eShop games about Halloween and Christmas - Pikmin 3 is finally released - A new Ice Climber game is announced for 3DS ...Just realised, half of mine are probably wrong since the Wii U is planned to be released in the second half (which may imply November/December) of 2012 anyway.

I guess I'll post a list as well: - Pikmin 3 released for the WiiU, either as a launch title or a few months in
- Fire Emblem 13 is released outside of Japan
- Monster Hunter Tri G released outside Japan with online
- The flukes of KI: Uprising's land gameplay have been ironed out and the game sells well
- At least one of the other two Op. Rainfall games comes out for the Americas. Possibly ported to the WiiU
- F-Zero WiiU is, at the very least, announced to be in the works
- Majora's Mask is remade for the 3DS, stated to come out in 2013
- New Nintendo 1st party IP
- Common Nintendo franchises are shown at E3 in demos for the WiiU, like Metroid, Pokemon and Donkey Kong
- I take over the world
I don't expect to get even half of them right or even happen, but I just thought I throw that out there.

- The 3DS continues to outsell the PS Vita, aside from short bursts of activity around big-name releases. iPhone continues to outsell bread. - Kid Icarus: Uprising sales are poor to moderate. Sakurai devotes himself to only ever making Smash Bros. games for the rest of his days. - Nintendo launches the Wii U. Everyone bitches about how they broke their tablet controllers by being idiots. People stop doing this within 6 months of launch. - Retro Studios reveals they've been working on the next Wario Land game, heavily based on VB Wario Land. - A new Yoshi's Island game revealed. Everyone cheers. It's revealed to be developed by Artoon AGAIN. Everyone weeps. - Nintendo announces a 3DS phone... One month after I get a new 2 year phone contract. I cry.

- The Wii U is given a rebranding with through a name change that sets it apart from the 'Wii' brand.
- Pikmin 3 is finally announced and is a 'Wii U' launch title, appeasing the hardcore fans slightly.
- A new Donkey Kong Country is announced and to everyone's delight brings back K. Rool and the Kremlins. However gamers are concerned to hear that it's being developed by a smaller games studio rather than Retro Studios.
- A upgraded 3DS is released which is more sleek and features the second control stick.
- We see the first tidbits of a crazy new game Miyamoto is working on by himself. The world is both bewildered and amazed.
- Retro Studios begins work on a new IP after stating they don't just want to be known for bringing back old Nintendo IPs.
- NES games begin coming out on the 3DS Virtual Console.
- A '3D Classics' A Link to the Past is released on the 3DS eShop
- Nintendo 'reassesses' their plan to keep the GBA games ambassador only and near the end of the year announces that GBA games will be available on the 3DS eShop soon.
- Zelda 3DS is shown to world at E3 and comes out late that year or early 2013.
- A new Punch Out is announced for the 3DS with the novelty being opponents looking like they're coming out of the screen and actually punching you. Exciting stuff.
- A new Metroid game is shown where Samus, like all women should, returns to 2D side-scrolling and keeps her damn mouth shut.
- Shortly before E3, embarrasing photos of Reggie Fils-Aime with a Kirby plushie are leaked online. During Nintendo's E3 presentation numerous Kirby plushies are thrown on stage by a small section of the audience, along with obscene chants coming from the same few people. The audience members are quickly ejected. Despite clearly being upset and shaken by the incident Reggie manages to keep his cool and delivers his parts of the presentation in style. This show of courage allows Reggie to regain some of his lost respect in the gaming world, however gamers never look at Kirby the same way again.
- Sakurai has a nervous breakdown after Kid Icarus Uprising gets a lot of criticism from both critics and gamers and publishes a bizarre rant online. He later issues a statement apologising for his actions.
