SPECIAL MOVES
B: Mushroom: Pressing the B Button will have Toad tossing Mushrooms. You can throw only three Mushrooms at a time. You'll eventually toss all three if you hold the B Button. but it's faster to tap it.
There are three different types of Mushrooms Toad can throw. The first one is the Super Mushroom, which will turn anyone giant. The second one is the Poison Mushroom, which will turn anyone tiny.
The third one is the 1-Up Mushroom, which will give anyone an extra life. The 1-Up Mushroom are green, unlike the other red Mushrooms. But the 1-Up Mushrooms are extremely rare.
This move was loosely inspired by Toad's special Poison Mushroom item in Super Mario Kart.
Smash B: Spore Chimes: Toad conceals a massive bell. Ring his bell by pushing the Control Stick toward the foe and tapping B to have the bell shoot out a musical note.
When the note is in the air, press Up or Down to influence its movement, then let go of B when you want it to explode. The musical notes coming out of the musical explosion will turn anyone into a Mushroom, unable to do anything, when they are hit by the notes. However, while they are in Mushroom forms, they will slowly regain 5% per second.
This move was inspired by the enemy magic attack, Spore Chimes, in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, in which the spell turned Mario and his party into mushrooms.
Up B: Bomb Throw: This is not Toad's third jump move. This move has Toad throwing colorful bombs, either it be blue or red or green or even black, at his opponents much like Yoshi's Egg Throw move. Toad can control the bomb's trajectory with the Control Stick like Yoshi's Egg Throw move.
When the bomb makes contact with the opponent, the bomb will stick on the top of the opponent's head. This bomb cannot be shaken off and the bomb will explode, causing 15% damage.
This move was inspired by Toad's explosive puzzle game, Wario's Woods.
Down B: Pick Me Up: The quick up-and-down-then-grab-and-carry Pick Me Up is an excellent move. You can perform the move from a standing position or from the air. When Toad lands on someone, Toad will pick him/her up and carry him/her around.
The person who is being carried will have a harder time shaking themselves free from Toad's hold if they have high damage. Then Toad will throw the opponent wherever in the stage. Toad can still jump while carrying a rival, but he cannot do a double jump.
This move is obviously inspired from Super Mario Bros. 2 (Doki Doki Panic) where the selected character can pick up and throw enemies.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
Toad's greatest strength lies in his great speed. He can run faster than Captain Falcon, Falco, and Fox!
Toad weights too lightly, which can be a bad thing for Toad since one heavy hit from an opponent can send him flying.
Toad's regular jumps are poor. But when you hold down the Jump button for a second, Toad will glow and jump higher than Kirby and Jigglypuff's floating jumps in high speed when you press the Jump button again.
This can also be done in midair during the first jump or the second jump or when you are falling from the stage. So, in a sense, it works like a third jump.
This jump move is inspired from the charged jumps in Super Mario Bros. 2 (Doki Doki Panic).
