Has IGN just received the first image of the Nintendo Revolution?
UPDATE: Scroll down for bigger pics
Could it be? No sign of the controller yet... but could this be that wonderful piece of kit that will soon sit alongside all of our television sets?

I don't know...it doesn't look very revolutionary...but of course we haven't seen the games yet.

There goes my theory on a built-in projector that projects 3D images. But it looks very sleek, even more so when compared to that thing they call a PS3. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

Revolution will play 12cm (DVD) discs (and GameCube software, too). Added attachment can be used to play movies and other DVD content. Machine has 512 MB of onboard flash memory for data storage.

Cool looking pic, but the unveiling was missing some important things:
- There was no controller shown - No significant videos shown - No new Mario - No specs - No explanation of how on-line will work
We were led to belive that there would be a Mairo 128 shown in some form or another, and a name for the new on-line network... Perhaps there is more that is yet to be said over the coming days? Perhaps we were misled?
Which one is it?
(BTW - the system looks cool, but not enough was told about it, especially after Microsft and Sony unveiled their systems...)

Meh... Iwata didn't really say anything at all. Either Nintendo has the biggest bomb shell ever and their just waiting for the right time to let it drop, or they have nothing at all and are just trying to BS their way through this. I hope it's the former, but Nintendo really just hasn't convinced me that Revolution will be a system worth buying.

Will the Revolution be able to play games such as Legend of Zelda Four swords adventure, or Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles? How can you plug in your GBA? Will it be possible to connect the Gameboy player to it so that we can play GBA on T.V.?

Same way you plug in everything else... through the hidden slot on the top with Gamecube controller and memory card ports.

Well, the rumours suggested that the 19th would be the big day for such an unveiling... and nothing happened.
Since then, there have been interviews and such, and the Nintendo people are suggesting that they won't be ready to show anything for some time (perhaps not show everything until next year), as they intend to remain secretive at this stage.
MAYBE the last day will prove fruitful in this type of information, but I think Nintendo has shown us what they are willing to show at this stage, and that we'll have to wait (quite a while, probably) until Nintendo is ready to give the public any new information.
It's a shame, sure, but this is their strategy, so I guess I'm not one to question it.
At least we got a whole bunch of new DS stuff, the new Zelda game, and a LOOK at the Revolution console. That's all still very cool. (It's just when you compare all of this to M$ and Sony's unveilings that it seems a little less impressive...)
End.

I think that's the big bummer. Every Nintendo fan pretends to know how the videogame industry works, but in reality most do not. Maybe Nintendo committed suicide just now, but who are we to comment? They MADE the industry as it stands, so they probably know a little more about it than us. Miyamoto's comments about other companies stealing ideas was a repetition of earlier arguments for hiding games and hardware, but I think it was the first time I'd heard the whole thing spelled out by a Nintendo representative: analogue sticks, force feedback, wireless controllers... Nintendo invented them and they were nicked almost straight away. I suppose it's either give-up-hope time, or believe-everything-Nintendo-says time. I don't know which I like least I do hope that fake video guy does contact Nintendo's PR department, as Reggie said in an interview, and gets a chance to put together the ACTUAL Revolution video. That would be a nifty little turn of events.
