I'm slightly distressed, sure, but there's too many good things to be upset over a small bit like that.
Unless it means no Tingle, then the gloves are off.

Oh, I care. But... for some reason everything else trumps that. Sorry TTF, but I just don't feel like every spot is going to be taken up by 3rd parties, nor is that really that upsetting anymore. I got over it, frankly :/
Of course, it does decrease the likelihood of Mike, Sukapon, Hakkun, etc., but there's always SSB4! >.<

Basically, I don't really mind the entry of Snake, but then, I don't thnk I need further 3rd party characters. Why do we need so for a "Nintendo All-Stars" game anyway? Of course, it does decrease the likelihood of Mike, Sukapon, Hakkun, etc., but there's always SSB4! >.< Yeah, personally I REALLY want to see these appear. What can Hakkun do, anyway? Sucking other people and carry them to somethere else? |

I'm not upset by it - to be honest I'd almost come to expect it. Initially I didn't want to see it happen... but come on, it's Solid Snake! I might have been more disappointed if they'd chucked Sonic into the video instead... but they didn't.
And indeed, the tasty Nintendo goodness seems to be here to stay. Pit made it in, as did Wario (in WarioWare garb, no less)... so I know they're making all the right choices.
So long as they announce a few more Nintendo characters before they announce the next third party character, I think I will continue to love this game.
I'm currently working on a big pre-release page for the game. It is Smash Bros., after all!

YES, THERE IS BEAUTY EVEN IN WARIO.
Solid Snake is an incredibly weird but fitting addition. it sounds bizarre on paper, but to me, he really didn't seem out of place in the trailer at all. Metal Gear games are already pretty zany, after all.
A Sega character and a Namco character at least are probably a given! But please... no Pac-Man. He's a nothing character!
how about the Prince of all Cosmos, Namco? =w=

I just pray they do the lineup right, it´s ok to have some Third party characters, as long as they are just really prominent ones (Sonic, Bomberman, Rayman, Megaman, Seaman) as long as they don’t take the place of some Nintendo characters that really deserv it (some one from Advancewars, Starfy, Jill, add Toad and Mario Kart lineup would be complete, and Keep Earthbound stuff in the game (if they add Flint to the lineup I would be in heaven!)
Unfortunatelly I tink that having Mike Rogers in this game is now just a dream, but maybe there is still hope for Tingle and Tetra

MY GOD.
This is the best stuff in show. Right here. What with this, and Mario Galaxy, I literally can't stop smiling!! My mouth literally hurts from grinning!! Pit is lookin GEWD, and finally some Wario action!
And those stadiums! The glimpses of that cool castle (realistic Bowser castle? Twilight Princess castle?) And Metaknight's flying airship stage is officially my favourite.
And concerning the 3rd party character debate, who cares? ITS FRICKIN SSB3!!! WITH FRICKIN PIT!!!!!!
Wouldn't it be cool if Nintendo gave you the Wi-fi option of downloading new / swapping out old characters and stages? Then everyone would be happy.

If Pac Man is too cartoonish, surely Kirby is also too cartoonish? I don't see a problem with him being there.  EDIT: I should have refreshed the page before posting. Man, I'd had this window open for... 5 hours.  |

Pac Man has no... personality. No character. He's, like somebody earlier said (sorry to not bother looking up your name >.<), "a nothing character." And I am convinced that castle is the dropped FE level from Melee, super revamped Wii style. Look at all those crazy dragon flags they have flying And I just thought of something: maybe not 3rd party fighters, but 3rd party items? stages? music? One-Winged Angel would be amazing to be blasting in the bg. No need for Sephiroth or that mushhead Cloud! And what about a Katamari? The Prince would be a crappy fighter, but the Katamari makes a really awesome item idea ;D |

I'd be happy if we just had Snake, Sonic, Bomberman, Mega Man and Pac Man (like him or not, he's a gaming icon).

If you care to know Snake only made it in because Kojima begged him. He was begging sincve back when Melee was being made. They are dissusing Sonic so its a possibility but Snake and Sonic are the only 3rd party Characters who have any chance. Tail maybe but no other 3rd party has this many wants. In fact Sonic might not make it in.
Also the Zero suit Smaus is not permanent as you see she did a super smash. Both will be playable.
