The Nintendo DS is released in Europe on the 11th March for the price of £129.99
Unless you're a Nintendo VIP over 12 years of age with at least 1000 stars in your account... Then you can get one NOW NOW NOW!!
Only 3000 in the catalogue, and they're vanishing faster than very hot cakes. You spend 1000 stars on postage and packaging, and then arrange payment by credit/debit card or cheque for £129.99. You get the Nintendo DS, Super Mario 64 DS, Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt, and a Wario Ware Touched demo... and a funky t-shirt!
As soon as your payment clears, you get sent the DS. Starting from this morning... the 28th January... the European pre-release date for the DS. OH BABY! Mine's ordered!
Best Friday... EVER!

By the way, what differences (if any) do you think this "pre-release version" of SM64 DS will have?

I don't think there'll be any difference, bar perhaps the inclusion of a "pre-release version" bit on the box. Which will, undoubtedly, make it a delightful collectors' item

Come March 11th we'll also have more DS games than the US, including the actual releases of Super Mario 64 DS, Pokemon Dash, WarioWare Touched! and Polaris. That's the English name for Chokkan Hitofude, by the way... maybe it'll become another Kurukuru Kururin!

We still got it first... Yeah, doesn't seem that great anymore. So I guess your Stars Catalogue petition is kinda moot now, eh?

So I guess your Stars Catalogue petition is kinda moot now, eh? Heh, it wasn't my petition, I just signed it and linked to it... but yeah, I did think the mighty forces of irony were busy on me last week. Still, my Stars are only paying for the postage and packaging. It's not like I'm getting any money off the console... but I am getting it early... but... oooh I'm so confused! Still, quite smart to recruit big Nintendo fans to act as Nintendo DS ambassadors before the release date. Sweetness. And we get the WarioWare demo! Marvellous!

So happy! So happy! (sing it with me) So happy! So happy!
I got mine ordered! I'm so lucky! I haven't been online as much recently what with my new job, so I feel very privaledged to be getting one.
P.S. Just realised there's no musical note symbol on my keyboard - how can people sing online without one??

Doesn't look like there is a musical note icon... I lucked out too. The network at work was down all morning, and it clicked on just before lunch, so I checked my emails and voila! There was my invitation to be the happiest man in the world. Good thing the boss was away... I took an early lunch to get it all sorted out And now it looks like a DS will be MINE!

I still need to call the number to finish sorting it all out... what stuff do you need to tell them?

I haven't called yet since my mum (who's at work all day) needs to phone for me since it's being charged to her card. She should be phoning when she gets home from work though.
But anyway, to answer your question, Kirbychu, according to several people in the Nintendo forums, they just need the card details and the reference number which is at the bottom of the confirmation e-mail. Not sure whether they'll need your username though.
