But they have PEACH, BOWSER, WARIO and DK. Correct me if I'm wrong, every single game with all those characters playable has Luigi in it  |

Haha, you fell into my trap. I said one sport/party MARIO game. SSB is not a Mario game.
I would also like to point out a basic flaw... the babies aren't really PLAYABLE as such. Only Yoshi is playable. The babies are like power ups.

^ Exactly. If this was a classic Mario style game and they left out Luigi, I'd be a little upset. But this is a Yoshi game.

I would also like to point out a basic flaw... the babies aren't really PLAYABLE as such. Only Yoshi is playable. The babies are like power ups. Good point. Unless they're able to grab a Super Star item and become super babies . It's funny when a character appears as an "item" or "power up"  . |

Baby Wart could by Prince Froggy from YI. DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUN.
You know what would never happen, but would be cool nonetheless? If they linked YI2 to Galaxy and had the same major enemy (or at least have them related / same species). I mean, the story of YI2 is something like 'bad guy pulls the island into the sky" (I think), and the smart money says the story of Galaxy is probably something like 'bad guy sends Peach's castle into space'. Like I said, it would never happen, but I think that would be really, really cool.

Well DIU, I've always thought (and sometimes said) that Wart and Prince Froggy could be the same guy (I mean, Prince Froggy is the only boss in YI that I remember didn't explode after the boss battle with him)... Groundless speculation aside, however, I am keeping my eye on this game - YI still stands as a brilliant game, but knowing about Artoon's last attempt at a Yoshi game isn't exactly reassuring for this sequel. But, I'll reserve my judgements until the game actually comes out.  |

Prince Froggy = King Wart!? Both Royalty!
Prince Froggy eats Yoshi. The result leaves him with a highly damaged stomach.
Wart is defeated by making him EAT veggies.

Get over yourself please... Nobody said it was true - we were simply throwing ideas out there accompanied by the words "conspiracy teory" and "groundless speculation"... Anyway, I'm thinking that if YI2 sticks closely to the design of the SNES original, throwing in extra characters (abilities) and some cool boss fights, then it shouldn't stray too far from what fans of the original may be expecting. |
