We all know Yoshi's Island was the best game ever made, right? And that there will soon be a sequel, right? Featuring extra babies (Peach and DK), you have to return the little ones to their kindergarden on Yoshi's Island. Each baby has their own abilities to complement those of the Yoshies.  But what's this I spy on the boxart? Baby Wario and Baby Bowser!! What could their abilities be? Unfortunately the game is by Artoon who have a fairly poor track record. I hope Nintendo reels them in this time, because Yoshi's Universal Gravitation was a travesty. And I want this game to be brilliant. Oh please God! |

Before I started, if anyone comes into this thread and complains (or even thinks about complaining) about how this ruins the Mario 'canon' I will hunt you down and kick you in the nuts. Because I know someone will.
It looks like the abilities are what they are doing on the box. Bowser's is fairly self explanitory by the looks of it, but how does Wario's work? Perhaps it drags coins from the top screen to the bottom screen or something.
Please, Artoon, don't screw this up. Please please please.
And P.S. - put Waluigi in.

I thought that was SM64.
Anyway, doesn't the appearance of baby bowser screw up the whole 'kamek kidnapping baby luigi so that the mario bros won't help in the defending of the mushroom kingdom from the evil koopa horde' thing that was the storyline of the original Yoshi's Island.

Now all it needs is Baby Luigi, Toad, Waluigi, Daisy, and Birdo. We know the story takes place AFTER Yoshi's Island... so it doesn't really spoil anything.

Now let's see.... although I don't want it to be called YI2, just let it be. The reason of not calling so is that there's already another game with Yoshi carrying Mario on a task of either rescuing or other things that is called Yoshi Touch & Go. Calling it YI2 will be like calling Kirby's Dreamland 2 and 3 so - confusing. Kirby's DL (DeadLink? Argh! Why is the joke everywhere? >_<) 2 and 3 are not exactly Kirby platformers #2 and 3. And you know what I mean.
Anyway.... Artoon being the developer, making my wish of getting this is almost eliminated. I hope this is a good one, unlike the last screwed up game.
And you know, this game already somehow screw up the Mario universe. Are you exactly sure that they are almost the same age? Instead of some being significant older than the others? Although, other than Mario and Luigi being the same age, nobody knows the rest.
AND WHOSE IDEA IS THAT HIDING LUIGI AGAIN!? Luigi is not Mario's shadow... he's everyone's shadow. Peach's Wario's, DK's, even Bowser's. Arrrrrgh!

I don't begrudge Luigi's lack of appearance. This is more a Yoshi game than a Mario (Brothers) game.
