Shame westerners will never get to know of the antagonist Ogura that terrorized Stafy throughout most of the series. Nor will they find out how Stafy first met Kyorosuke. It's kinda sad when you get introduced to series late, it ruins certain things for the audience.
But hey, I should be happy that we're getting Stafy at all!

Well it's nice to hear about one of the games in the series being released outside of Japan; however, one thing I'm confused about is the name: "Starfy". Was it the news group or the staff of Nintendo of America that called him "Starfy"? I thought his official English name was "Stafy" after he made several appearances in different games and places under the name "Stafy", like in SSBB as stickers, a trophy and an Assist Trophy. Well, it may end up like Custom Robo GX, which stayed on the upcoming release list in several issues of Nintendo Power magazine for a long period of time, until the GCN game in the series (Custom Robo: Battle Revolution) was announced for release outside of Japan only in North America.
I hope the series wouldn't end up unsuccessfully like the MOTHER/EarthBound series did outside of Japan.

When I saw that "™" in these news, I imagined the name is likely to remain like that. The paragraph is in the Nintendo Press Room site, so yeah, it's Nintendo of America.

AAHHH!!!! There are some many new products coming I don't think I'll be able to play them all! I think I might have to sacrifice some of the games I wanted to get... like Personal Trainer: Walking. I think the wireless pedometers are a neat idea... and what about Platinum? Do I need another Pokemon game? DSi??? I definitely want Starfy though.
Too many questions... too many new games!!
I guess Starfy makes more sense seeing as he's star-shaped and all.

I've grown so used to saying "Stafy" it's going to be hard to get used to that. And what does that mean they are going to call Stapy? "Starpy"?
The only English name I'm looking forward to is Kyorosuke, because that's a pain to say.

I'm surprised Parrothead, I imagined you would have gotten excited out of anyone.
I don't think I've ever seen you use an exclamation point.

Knowing Parrothead, he's probably pissed that the game is gonna get "un-obscure-i-fied", and will cease to play it for that very reason.

I assume the Stafy Starfy game will be a remake of the first. And if it sells any well then he might have a chance to appear in a new Smash Bros...
Anyone else notice how Assist Trophies in Brawl seem to influence all these new games? Little Mac, Stafy, Knuckle Joe (Superstar Ultra), Saki, Excite Bike...
*gasp*
Could this mean...NEW GOLDEN SUN?!

Popular video games have enough support, which is why I don't play them much. It's very nice to hear about Starfy heading towards North America, but there are some things that bother me. Will it be successful? Will its successors be released in North America (if not worldwide)? Will the Starfy series become popular enough to have fans doing things like creating translation patches for the first four games in the series and have its Wikipedia articles be very well written, just like how the Fire Emblem fans did with the Fire Emblem series? Only time will tell.

That would be awesome if that happened! I'd love to play a new Golden Sun game on the Wii. Imagine using Psynergy with the Wiimote. Hmmm... I wonder if some ATs were included to advertise recent games and some ATs were included to promote future games. They could range from Virtual Console games, Wii games, DS games, and WiiWare games.

You only play games based on the amount of support they get? Why don't you just play games because they are fun and you enjoy them?

Just in time too. I recently completed the first 3 Stafy titles. What a treat.
Now, I just hope it sells well outside of Japan.

I imagine things will work out with Stafy a lot like they did with Phoenix Wright; if Stafy 5 sells well enough, I imagine Nintendo will port the previous games to the DS (individually, of course, because making a compilation would be silly) with new DS perks and bring them stateside.

I don't know. They didn't release the first GBA Fire Emblem after the success of the second in America.
