31,338 signatures, 1,200 of which were hand written is a significant amount of signatures, and I mean Look At These Things! You can't ignore 9 lbs. of paper staring you in the face saying "PEOPLE WANT THIS" You're petition which I will watch but not likely sign. Seems, unprofessional at best, the best you can hope for is that someone at Nintendo wipes chilidog sauce off their slacks with it I'm afraid. NoA does not care about petitions alone. Methinks one who writes run-on sentences and writes "you're" in the place of your is in no place to comment on anyone's "professionalism". If you want to be jaded about petitions and think Mother 3 will never be released in any form, fine. But I don't think I said anything to warrant such a rude response. To the person who commented on Mother 3 being released on the GBA: Duh! Of course GBA is an outdated system, but it wouldn't be the first time a game has been ported to the DS from the GBA (see Phoneix Wright: Ace Attorney). And there's nothing to stop them from releasing it via the Wiiware channel, either. Also, to anyone that thinks that Mother 3 will, never, ever, EVER be released outside of Japan: Clearly you underestimate the tenacity of Earthbound fans.

Yeah, and from the fact Nintendo rated EarthBound for the Virtual Console, Nintendo is most likely curious if EarthBound fans will put their money where their mouth is. Nintendo is driven by profit and Nintendo needs to know that it can make money off EarthBound from the EarthBound fanbase. If Nintendo can confirm that, then you are much more likely to get your EarthBound 2 and EarthBound Zero.
Phoenix Wright for the DS was itself a test on if there is a fanbase in the West for a game like it., and apparently there was and Capcom was very satisfied. In fact, the GBA games didn't do all that well, but the DS made the Ace Attorney series realize its potential.

Clearly you underestimate the tenacity of Earthbound fans. Which is why we're clearly drowning in Earthbound games.

Those monster sketches are amazing. If there will be a sequel then the original monsters should return. That's all I ask for really. I love those little winged snakes.

Clearly you underestimate the tenacity of Earthbound fans. Which is why we're clearly drowning in Earthbound games. The reason we are not drowning in Earthbound games, smartass, is because Shigesato Itoi only made three of them and doesn't plan on making any more. And honestly, I think Nintendo lost more money on Super Princess Peach than they would by releasing Mother 3 as a Wiiware download.

My apologies, I don't mean to sound rude you caught me in a bad mood. So the most I can say is I doubt this would work. Nintendo is full of stuck ups who are caring less and less about the fans, as far as they're concerned it's their IP and they will do whatever the heck they want to do with it. Thanks for pointing out my your you're screw up, I'm trying to get better at that. Again my apologies for my response. Leave my run-on sentences alone though. I don't consult my Elements of Style every time I make a forum post.

But that's no different than like IGN or any other site. I don't consider it a sign of anything.

poochy:The big reason Earthbound has been getting the shaft is becuase it doesn't sell well. Mother 3 has yet to come out of Japan becuase it only did mediocre at best in Japan. 300K isn't a heck of a lot and Nintendo knows that it probably will sell worse in the states. While the Earthbound community has large numbers for a fanbase as dedicated as they, but NoA (and the rest of Nintendo probably) that there aren't enough people outside the fanbase who would buy it. Maybe if it was 50000 signatures, they may have been open too it, but why localize a game they know wont sell here?

I did some research/reading stuff last night, and I think we're more than guaranteed to hear about Kid Icarus at this point in time. So yeah... Factor 5, Kid Icarus Wii, all at E3 this July...
I hope to whatever god is listening that they drastically changed his appearance to be more childish in the final game. I can't stand any of those looks for Pit.

I would want a targeting system and I prefer the Brawl Pit design better. Frankly, he reminds me of Square Enix's Sora

Yeah. But Wario is a dick. It's why we love him.
