Give me a choice between DD!! and MK64, I'd take MK64 on any day of the week.
Personally, I thought Crash Tag Team Racing's dual rider implementation was a lot more cleverly executed. They should do something like that.

Its not the double racers or lack of that makes the quality - DD has some shoddy track design.
MK64's Rainbow Road still wins the worst track ever award though.

MK64's Rainbow Road still wins the worst track ever award though. What your reason for hating it DiU? Is it the fact that it takes 7 minutes total to do all 3 laps? Personally that's one of the reasons I did not like it, also it got kind of boring just driving along on that course.

Yeah, thats basically it. Also being extremely wide, and having railing made it exceptionally boring when compared to other Rainbow Roads and all the other tracks.
Only cool thing is the big hill that you can angle yourself so you fall off the track. But still... meh.

I have some course ideas that will never happen but it is fun to dream.
Hippohenge (based on the Hippo Statue in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins) - You drive up a hill towards the statue and drive back down. It is like a beach course but it is more like a beach version of DK Mountain, minus the blasting out of the barrel. Bubbles would slow the karts down as the karts would be trapped inside the bubbles for a second or two.
Mount Easton (based on the Easton stages in Super Mario Land) - It is like Choco Mountain (MK64) and Yoshi Circuit (MKDD) because one half is along the shores and the other half is through the caves and mountaintops. Lots of Moai statues and falling rocks everywhere! Oh, and maybe you can drive through a large waterfall to enter the cave part of the course.
Marrycake Hill (based on the Bundt Cake in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars) - You drive around a giant wedding cake. It could remind you of Peach's Birthday Cake in the first Mario Party game and the tart top course in Mario Kart DS.
Turtle Zone (based on Turtle Zone in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins) - You drive on a beach and drive through a pipe that shoots you towards the turtle statue's mouth (think DK Mountain in MKDD) where you drive around inside the statue. Inside the statue, you drive through an abandoned submarine and drive towards the cave exit back to the beach.
Barrel Project (based on the construction site in the original Donkey Kong arcade) - You start off on the streets and drive through the construction site and go up and down the building project and out to the streets.
Mini Park (based on Super Mini Mario World from Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis) - It is the new Baby Park! The course is simple as it is eight-figured just like Figure-8 Circuit in MKDS.
Teacup Cruise (based on S.S. Teacup from Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3) - It is the new Daisy Cruise! The ship sails around the Kitchen Island, showing locales such as Rice Beach, Parsely Woods, and Mt. Teapot.
Piranha Valley (based on Bean Valley from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and Piranha Grove from Yoshi's Story) - Piranha Plants are everywhere. Drive off course and you get knocked off by one of these flowers. The course is pretty linear that at the end of the valley, there is a pipe on a hill that shoots you all the way back to the valley entrance (where the starting line is at).
Mario Circuit (based on the overworld stages of Super Mario Bros.) - It is a circuit lined with brick walls and wooden fences. Floating ? blocks and green pipes with Piranha Plants are everywhere. Flagpoles and the brick castle mark the finishing line. Maybe Super Mario All-Stars can be a better example of this idea.
Great Boggly Trail (based on Boggly Woods from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door) - The course is in black and white just like in the original. It is similar to Yoshi Valley (MK64) in terms of the maze-like trail, you drive through hollow tree logs (these logs could be above or below each other, creating the maze-like trail) over a large river and drive through the Great Boggly Tree in the middle of the course.

Motorcycles? Cool.. but they aren't karts? Then again, baby strollers aren't karts either! The courses look nice, though.. I'll be sure to pick it up for the Wii.

Nothin' wrong with Motorcycles, I guess. Unless of course they somehow don't use the motorcycle Wario already has... and I wouldn't put that past Nintendo. The core development teams have a shoddy memory of their own creations.

Motocycles? Never saw that coming. I wonder if it was inspired from this. Mario Excitebike! The new images are quite nice. It's good to see the character don't look so damn shiny like they did MK: DD New trailer here.

Can't wait to play that mushroom stage. Or the rest of the game either. Best DK vehicle ever (better than his jeep in MKDS anyway). Now all I need to see is Bowser in a Monster Truck. THAT would totally RULE!!

BUMP!!! Some new info has just come in from NMAG (a German Nintendo Magazine) on GoNintendo. Link. Not everyone will be happy though . . . I'm annoyed snaking is still in but with this little info, who knows maybe it has changed? But at least there is battle mode. Also that snow racetrack that Sqrt2 posted looks really good. The Shyguy's on the ski lift even have snowboards!!!

Baby Peach?
I'm SOLD! <3
Eh, I'm not worried about snaking. MKDS was still fun even while snaking happened.

Baby peach is OK I guess, but snaking? That's totally awful news! Looks like I won't be playing against other people online (assuming you can).
Damn, you Nintendo! Snaking was bad enough in MKDS, but this....
