Something about snaking: it has been there ever since Mario Kart 64 and is there for every 3D game. That said, I don't believe snaking is a valid reason for saying MKDS is bad. The only thing missing from Mario Kart DS was a Rainbow Cup that combined the Rainbow Roads from the past installments in the series and put them all in one. ;D
At least, in my opinion. Aside from the snakers, who are all overcompetitive assholes, I liked MKDS. Well, I am with you. I've always been hoping for a Rainbow Cup!

Mario Kart Arcade GP made me want Cups themed after the characters. There could be a Mario Cup with all the Mario Circuits, a Wario Cup with all those Stadiums/Colosseums/Waluigi Pinball, a Bowser Cup with all the Castles, a Yoshi Cup with various courses with Yoshi's name on them(Valley, Desert, Circuit, Falls), and a DK Cup with the Jungle courses and DK Pass (even though that had absolutely nothing to do with DK at all).
Tei's Rainbow Cup would obviously be the last one playable.

I'd prefer a game with all of the courses being original designs myself. Athough I do like your idea Man Frog.

Some MK Wii info has come in from Famitsu. Most old but some new info. Mario Kart Wii - April 10th, 2008 (Japan) * Bikes in cup mode * Bikes have special actions like “wheelie” * 16 remakes and new courses * Wi-fi 12 players * Play as Miis Link.I'm liking the sound of Mii's in MK, hopefully it's like Mario & Sonic at the Olyimpic Games Mii character selection.

I think Monty Town is Delfino Plaza from the DS. It can be seen the third link RSIU put up. There quite a lot of info one can take from this images. First picture: - Four people are playing on screen in a 12 player match, is either 4 player grand prix or 4 players online using the same Wii console. - Quite a few online pictures, the one with the Earth and the Miis has a "A" button icon that is green, could be GCN controller support? - Character have mutiple motocycles? Toad is seen on a something that looks like a dirtbike and another picture shows him on a bike that looks like a Bullet Bill (it's in the picture with the Mii). Second picture: - Wario's bike from WarioWare is his motocycle. (Yes!!) Third picture: - Motocycles are avalible in battle mode. - Battle mode looks like it could have nine players (look at mini map in picture). - Some ghost track from the GBA. Above picture has Delfino Plaza, Yoshi doing a stunt after through the air on the bridge in DP, GBA ghost track, and Wario's WW bike. EDIT: Got some translated info from GoNintendo and I'm liking the sound of it. - online league and a global world ranking - local rankings - channel for online aspect - send and receive time attack scores online, online ranking for time attack as well - upload/download Ghosts Link.

So there's ONLY 16 tracks, not 16 new courses and 16 returning courses? That's a bit of a stepback in my mind. XD Looks nice, though. I thought MKDS was the best one since MK64, so I'm looking forward to this one as well.

No, it's 16 remakes and 16 new courses so its 32 tracks (like MK DS). The other 4 cups have not been revealed. If this was true, Rainbow Road would be on the list.
Also I didn't notice that RSiU had the name of the ghost track the whole time, but after looking in MK:SC the english name is Ghost Valley 2 and it's for the SNES not the GBA like I thought it was.

I 'm starting to guess if they're putting Mii in every mario spinoff...
I hope to see any of the Rainbow Road to be back. The SFC one is the craziest, and I want to see that! And.. what else... yea, this time around I hope that (don't hit me) ROB is not making it back. Same goes for Dry Bones. Not if they take up spaces where other characters could have been in. I don't care that much if they are going to have, say, 50 characters.
A roster bigger than SSBB's would be fun.

I used to come up with stats and such for the more neglected Mario characters to appear in games like Kart, Baseball, Tennis, etc. Because I feel like it and am bored, here ya go:
Captain Syrup - Middleweight - S.S. Teacup Kart, Booty Bike Kamek - Lightweight - Star Shooter Kart, Broomcycle Pauline - Lightweight - Hot Lips Racer, Lady Lightning Diddy - Lightweight - Barrel Kart, Motor-Espresso Wart - Heayweight - Sub-Kart, Snifitmobile Grodus - Heavyweight - Von Grapple-car, Meta-Cycle
And then some
