Did the US have the same commercial? I don't remember. I seem to remember something like that.

I don't remember seeing that commercial. It does, however, remind me of the magazine ad for the Neo Geo game Cyber-Lip, which you can see at the bottom of this page. For what it's worth, his hands are on his joystick.

Haha! Say did you ever see that Japanese promotional ad for de Blob?
I know it's not classic but it's one for the record books!

Japanese ad for Metroid II on Game Boy.I like the use of the 2D animation and the 3D Samus model, which I think must just be a stop-motion filmed model. Also their hardly any footage of the game up until the end.

Classic Commercials: Sega Edition! The Challenge Will Always Be There! An interesting first slogan, especially the way the narrator recites it. SegaScope 3DI've always heard that the SegaScope was really good. When I first saw this commercial back then, I got the impression that the games really popped out of the TV like that. Thunder BladeI think this is the SMS commercial I remember most, probably because of the kid that wants to hog the controller. Genesis Does What Nintendon'tThis is a classic. I like how they integrated Michael Jackson, Joe Montana and Buster Douglas. Blast Processing - Welcome To the Next LevelSega was really aggressive with its advertising back then, even going so far as to actually show footage of Super Mario Kart. Sega CDI always liked this one. Such attitude! Not to mention the "Sega scream." 32XKinda Todd worthy, isn't it? The 32X was sort of like Sega's Virtual Boy. SaturnJust as Sega went after Nintendo, they also went after Sony and the "PlayThing." It's ThinkingDespite how it looks, this commercial did air in North America. Sonic AdventureI thought this ad was cool at the time, even if it was kinda weird.

Here is an Indian SEGA commercial similar to that "What are you waiting for? Nintendo to make one?" commercial:

Jet Set Radio JPN Commercial
Jet Set Radio Future US Commercial
Jet Set Radio Future JPN Commercial
SegaNET US Commercial (with Beat, Axel and Ulala...and neither Jet Grind Radio, Crazy Taxi nor Space Channel 5 were intarwebs-capable...hmm.)
Aaaaa I miss the Dreamcast days. D: I need a new Jet Grind Radio. Come on, Nintendo, quit being such butts.

I think I've posted this before, but according to this video, one of the kids is Christian Bale.

Awesome old Game Boy Pocket commericial. Like the "office/water cooler talk" set up and the cheapness of the ad.

Remember the Limited Edition Ice Blue Game Boy Pocket? It was the first and only Game Boy Pocket I got.
I tried to save the box it came in, but when I started moving from my mother to my father back in early 1999, some people helping me move threw away the official boxes my game consoles and handhelds came in, including the one for the Ice Blue Game Boy Pocket. They even unsealed all four Pokemon bean bags I got from KFC and threw the wrappers away, making them less valuable. These four Pokemon are Zubat, Seel, Vulpix and Dratini. Here are the commercials for them and what I used to buy and eat along with buying the bean bags:
Right now, I no longer eat at KFC, but when I think of it, I compare America's "McDonald's VS. Burger King" arguments to Japan's "McDonald's VS. KFC" arguments.

It seems so weird to see the Colonal talk about Pokemon. I just don't know why. Could be because of the Pokay-mon pronaution (I use Pokey-mon).
Do they still use that cartoon Colonal to advertise KFC in the States? I think I'm seen ad's with him down here YEARS ago.

Nah. I think they stopped using him years ago. He's probably hanging around the same bar as the little chef guy from the Cinnamon Toast Crunch commercials.
