I'd love to cover more stuff like that... Lost Bytes would be pretty cool... but only the main series: Mario, Metroid, Zelda and Pokemon, are likely to be covered by any such hackers.
That's the problem.

I just noticed a Wario Ware Twisted cameo (may be in this topic somewhere, but it's not on the site). Anyway, one of Dribble's mini-games called "Gyroid Jumble" oddly enough features Gyroids from Animal Crossing.

Hey, here's a cameo that you might want to look into:
In Donkey Kong Country 2, during the last part of the final battle with Kaptain K.Rool, he throws coloured ghosts at you. These ghosts look suspiciously like the Covern ghosts from Super Metroid.

Another Paper Mario 2 reference, I think... did anybody else notice Grodus' computer's screen during the 'invisible Peach' part of the game? It looks like the title screen from a NES game... Mario Bros. maybe? I was surfing around TMK and saw that they ARE Famicom discs, and what you saw was the startup of the Famicom Disc System. Link: www.classicgaming.com/tmk/pmttyd_j2e.shtml

Sounds funny. It'd be funnier if you can find the viruses on the tree of Zelda MM.

Game & Watch Gallery 4: You can unlock a reproduction of the Zelda Game & Watch. Were there any other Nintendo franchises with their own Game & Watch games besides Mario and Donkey Kong?

Four Swords Adventures: Cheep-Cheeps can be found on Game Boy Advance areas in Levels : 1-1 (Lake Hylia) 2-1 (Coast) 6-1 (Desert of Doubt) 7-1 (Frozen Hyrule), i think
Talon (if your still counting him) can be found in Level 4-1: The Field
A Chain Chomp in Level 5-2: Kakariko Village
and Thwomps can be found in Level 7-3: Tower of the Winds

I'm not quite sure where to put the Game & Watch Gallery games yet. Many of them have Donkey Kong, Mario and Zelda "cameos" - but they're actually reissues and remakes. I'm thinking of cutting down on series game list sizes by having separate sections of all remakes, reissues, compilations of games in a series - so people can find the original in the game list, and then find out everywhere else they can play it (even in things like Animal Crossing, rather than having NES games as cameo appearances)... What do you think about this idea? As for the Zelda characters... well... I've yet to plug Four Swords Adventures into my screenshot acquirer
