I'm not sure if this counts, but Mona's boss stage in Wario Ware Twisted very much resembles Balloon Trip mode from Balloon Fight.
I'm not sure if this counts either, but in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, after you get the hammers, one of the hammer bros. says "Now you're playing with power," which is a reference to an old NES ad campaign.

In WW:Twisted! You can unlock a fun bonus game called Mewtroid, an obvious parody of Metroid where you roll a kitty around the screen shooting bugs(with the Brinstar music from the original Metroid playing in the background), some of which look like Sidehoppers.

More from Wario Ware Twisted:
In the game Making Peace (which is called Burying the Hatchet in the American version and which is already listed as a cameo), there are two sounds from Mario games. If you miss Mario's hand you hear a pipe sound, but if you grab it you hear a 1-up sound. I just thought you might want to add it to the cameo description.
Another one of Wario Man's games is called Super Wario and features a black background and green lines that form sprites from the original Super Mario Bros. game. In the first round there is a koopa shell, in the second round a goomba, and in the third round both a koopa and a goomba.

I'm not sure if these are cameos, but a certain Pokemon, Octillery (#224) bears a resemblance to the famous Zelda enemy, the Octorok, as does an octopus character in Animal Crossing named Octavian.

I'm not adding any more WarioWare: Twisted! cameos until the game comes out over here.
The "Now you're playing with power!" one is indeed a Nintendo reference, and one I thought was quite funny. I might well add that.
Octillery is not an Octorok cameo. Japanese cartoon octopii are often coloured red with a long snout. There are hundreds of them in cartoons and games... and they're not all Octorok cameos. Octillery is supposed to be some kind of gun, as is Remoraid. Gunfish. I love them so.
Animal Crossing too.... no cameo.

Oh, just curious if it was. If I was Japanese, I'd know.

I made sure my final Gold/Silver team had an Octillery in it. Probably the best GSC water type.

Isn't Twisted out there yet, Fryguy? It came out here two weeks ago and I would've expected it to release about the same time there.

Hehehe... I got WarioWare Twisted already. Its a lot of fun ;D. I was looking at the cameos for SSBM, and I saw that you forgot to include the Ice Climber's target stage, which is in the same exact format as their NES game.

I know you aren’t going to put anything from WW Twisted up right now but I thought this was odd. The description for the Kid Icarus record states it's the closest you will ever get to a sequel but there was already a sequel for the Gameboy.

These might not be cameos, but in Mario and Luigi various Mario characters from other games make cameo appearances (Koopa Kids, Birdo, E. Gadd, etc.).

Also, we should note that the description of the record closes with "har har." I think they might be making fun of us for wanting a sequel so badly.

No, not really... though I'm still undecided whether E-Gadd and the Dr. Mario viruses would count as cameos. They are from Mario spinoffs rather than Mario adventures. Might chuck 'em up.

I'm definately all for a "Nintendo sightings in the elsewhere" section, you could even mention references made in films/tv/magazines/newspapers, like www.classicgaming.com/tmk does, although this might take a lot of work on your part of course... TMK has done a lot more than that. English/Japanese differences, full story of Super Mario 2 (Super Mario USA) and Panel de Pon... Even the "lost byte" sections! Having those researches on the whole Nintendo would make Fry (or anyone who helped) crazy! I like the idea of having Nintendo animations though. I want an episode guide.... but most probably not.
