Here we go. I put in the 'Olimar's Notes' in for the ones Wildcat didn't have. I also added one at the end for another cameo I found as well. The new images are here again: www.gamehiker.com/nindb/ again. Favorite Gyro Block - Has Nintendo logo on it. Olimar: When I was a kid, I always wanted my toys to be blue. Blue is such a cool color. Glee Spinner - Analog stick on a GC controller. Olimar: When I get near this captivating treasure, I can't stop myself from spinning it over and over again. I shouldn't spin such a valuable treasure, but it's so hard to have self-control. From now on, instead of actually spinning it, I'll just imagine I'm doing it instead. Wow... this is so much fun! Master's Instrument - A crayon with 'Mario's Paint' on it. Olimar: I found this object squirreled away in an undergroudn complex. Some of these structures demonstrate a high degree of culture. I surmise that each building must have been designed by an artist of great renown. This pink painting rod reinforces my hunch that this civilization appreciated fine art. Remembered Old Buddy - ROB's head, only with a different name. Olimar: I can't believe I had the fortune to find this thing buried underground! It looks like a component of a huge mechanical doll. It looks just like a part from a robot in a cartoon I used to watch as a kid. How nostalgic. This futuristic machine makes me feel like I've traveled back in time! Treasured Gyro Block -Has Ninteno logo on it. Olimar: Yesterday, we ventured into a spooky hole. Previously, all the organisms we'd encountered were massed together in one cave. Had I not divided the Pikmin by color and utilized their unique abilities, I would never had made it out alive! In memory of my daring adventure, I've named that hole the Hole of Heroes. Implement of Toil - Pencil with 'Nintendo 64' on it. Olimar: We've worked so hard... I think I could use some rest and relaxation. However, looking at all the valuable treasures we've collected, I think we'll make a huge fortune! Then, I can hire an army of butlers to attend to my every whim.

Another Paper Mario 2 reference, I think... did anybody else notice Grodus' computer's screen during the 'invisible Peach' part of the game?
It looks like the title screen from a NES game... Mario Bros. maybe?

Mario Bros. maybe? Hm. I don't remember that. Let me see... Well, if there was, it's not there when you beat the game. Although, the discs in the back bookshelf of Grodus' room sure do look like Famicom discs...

It only appeared on screen briefly while Peach was using the computer... I hadn't noticed the discs, though.
I finished Paper Mario 2 last night. Starting on The Minish Cap now. ;D

Another *possible* reference in Paper Mario... When you play as Peach, TEC (the X-Nauts' super-computer) will give you a quiz after once you've finished a few chapters... The fifth question will be what you need to stop the ***** behind the Thousand-Year Door (I won't tell you what the ***** is, find out yourself )... One of the answers you can choose is "a legendary sword". Could that be the Master Sword from the Zelda games?

This is kind of a lame one, but when Peach takes a shower, she hums some tune I don't quite recognize. I think it was part of the SMB water theme, but I'm not sure.

Yet another reference in Paper Mario 2! In Rogueport, there is a merchant named Charlieton, you can buy badges and other stuff from him... Well, there's a badge you can buy from him that increases Mario's jump damage by 1, but disables the ability to use the hammer... And the badge is called 'Jumpman'! And Jumpman just happens to be how Mario was called in his first game I only noticed this badge when I finished chapter 6 though, so I don't know if you can also buy it if you haven't completed that chapter yet.

Another Jumpman reference is in PM2. When you fight Rawk Hawk after going through the Glitz Pit a second time the crowd will be screaming "Gonzales!", but one person yells "Jumpman!"

Something eles I found in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door: After Chapter 6 you will receive an e-mail from Zip Toad. If you look at his picture, you can see Jr. Troopa from the first Paper Mario in the background.

And ANOTHER reference in Paper Mario 2! I found this one when I was playing the game today... In the last chapter, where you go to the X-Nauts' base, there's a room on Sublevel 2 with an open ventilation shaft in the top-right corner of the room... Do the 'special jump' (where you have to hold A and rotate the control stick) through that open ventilation shaft and you'll hang on a bar... Go a bit to the right and let go of the bar, then go more to the right and you'll see some small holes where you can fit through if you hold R (so you're paper-thin)... When you go through those holes, you'll fall into a small dressing chamber. Well, press A when you see a "!" symbol above Mario to open the curtains, and look how Mario will come out of the chamber... As his NES appearance! Your party members will then also appear as a NES character And you'll even hear the NES Mario theme at that time This is definately one of the funniest references in the game, IMO... Certainly worth checking out ;D

Certainly worth checking out ;D I thought that'd been mentioned already... so far every Mario RPG has had a NES Mario sprite appearance (except maybe Mario & Luigi... haven't played it much). It's still one of my favorite parts of most of them.

Here a Cameo from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
One of the mini bosses in the game is Master Hand(from Super Smash Bros) He dose most of his moves from the game. When you beat him and inhale him you get the "Smash" abillity. Its just Kirby's special Moves from SSBM. Also you'll fight Both Crazy Hand and Master Hand as a Boss for world 9. And once aging they use the same moves from SSBM(hope no one Metioned this already)

In Mario Power Tennis, you can unlock a court featuring the arcade classic Mario Bros. as the theme. It has Shellcreepers, Fighter Flies and Sidesteppers wandering around, and it also has POW blocks that you can hit to shake things up. The music for it is remixed versions of the original Mario Bros. themes. There is a mini-game involving coins from Mario Bros. on this court as well.

Heres a cameo I got from the Simpsons In it Homer gets known world wide as a Bafon because of a Dance on the Internet. Later a bus full of Italians comes and Mario comes out and wants his picture taken with him. Then Homer throws Gabag cans(like Barrels) at him he jumps them climbs into the tree house, gets a hammer and is soon killed buy a garbag can, In the classic Donkey Kong fashion. The Music for the Hammer and The dieing is the same as well. Also in PM2 if you talk to the kid Toad in Petalburg in Chap. 1 he tells you that has been playing "Fire Emblem" for the GBA.
