And apperently getting 9999 Starbits in the Main hub world turns coconuts into watermelons. Need to confirm that one though I just got 9999 Star Bits the other day and I can confirm it does change the coconuts into watermelons. Looks like the coconuts just get some watermelon stripes on them to look like watermelons and I don't think anything else happens.

Raise from the grave!!!
With the new cameo system, here's one. Bowser Jr.'s little airship has Bowser panels from Mario party on them. Just noticed it and I thought it was kinda cool to see something from those games in a main title.

That's nothing. Its Bowser's emblem his symbol he uses for everything like Mario Kart games and so on.
Peach has the same thing. If you look a the sheilds the Toad soldiers have in Toad Town they have Peach's emblem on them as well.

If it's that widespread in the series, I guess it's passed the point of cameo and just gotten to the point of regular content. Oh well.

The background music of the "special areas" in Galaxy is a subtle remix of the Ice Cavern background music from Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Compare this:

Well, at least this got bumped. I'm going to need it in the next few days when I write the Super Mario Galaxy page.
Captain Rainbow and Mario Kart Wii cameos have been done, but I'm going to put them up alongside the other 2008 Wii releases. I'm debating how much to initially do on Brawl.

Have an Easter Egg found recently, apparently:
Yup, a Zelda rupee can be found in Rolling Gizmo Galaxy.

Hmm... I have a... rather vague memory of this. I can't remember if I saw this before. But if I did, I probably just ignored it because I didn't think the shape was anything special. Nice find.

Alright, here's one that I'd need help from someone who knows Japanese and Japense Mario resources to confirm. The octopus enemy that works like an Octorok is apparently named オタロック (Otarokku) in Japan as a reference to Octoroks. I can't find a suitable non-Mario Wiki cite for this, though, because I frankly don't know any Japanese. I don't disbelieve it or anything- they work so similar I'd be very surprised to find out they weren't an intentional homage- but as the old saying goes, trust, then verify.
