Well I just played and beat the game for the Wii. Not that good, what a surprise huh?
There's but one Sonic stage per each world versus SIX Werehog stages. That may be only for the Wii version as I heard there are more Sonic stages for the 360.
Running stages were okay, hard to control at times, lots of empty running space and very short all together. Left much to be desired.
Werehog stages suck. They're really glitchy and hard to control. I found myself leaping off of ledges for no reason sometimes! Not to mention repetitive and boring.
Also the hubs were eliminated in this game and replaced with selecting pictures to talk to. You had a lot of going back and forth talking to these renders for no reason just to get to a level. Lame.
The only thing I was happy about was how the story and dialogue was handled. Characters were cartoony rather than realistic, and Chip was a likable new character that didn't get on your nerves.

Yeah, the 360 version has the same number of Sonic stages as it does Werehog ones. I've heard the Sonic stages are much better designed and more challenging than the Wii ones, too.

General consencus seems to be: Wii version = teh suck 360 version = teh awesome. I'm surprised that the game is turning out to be as good as it is. I'm not surprised that the Wii version is half-assed compared to the 360 version. Looks like my faith is restored. Let's start discussing a possible sequel/Sonic's future.

Well hopefully next time Nintendo won't be given the crap version.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen a game yet that's been better (or even as good) on the Wii as it has on other consoles. Jesus, the Wii version of Harvest Moon: Magical Melody is inferior to the GAMECUBE version! What's up with that?!

Lazy developers who know the new market Nintendo has cornered will buy any old crap the system offers?

Unfortunately, I haven't seen a game yet that's been better (or even as good) on the Wii as it has on other consoles. Well, When Sonic 06 came out, we got Secret Rings. And while that game was still crummy, it was no where near the abomination that was on the 360 at the time.

Rayman Raving Rabbids would like a word with you. That's a Wii exclusive, numbskull.

I have finished the game and all missions, thank you.
The difference is, though Sonic 2006 may be glitchy as hell, at least the controls always do what they're supposed to, unlike Secret Rings' Homing Attack. I could forgive it if it was just an extra, but the homing attack is REQUIRED to get over certain bottomless pits. Unforgivable.

I swear you're the strangest Sonic fan i've ever seen. But you don't have a crappy sonic fancharacter, so you're cool with me. ;D

Maybe it's because the Homing Attack in SA1 and 2 isn't fucked up beyond all reason?
