Ah, you're right. We haven't seen it in the 360 version yet. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't there, though. The only game it isn't in is Sonic '06, even Riders implemented it.

MMX8 wasn't supposed to return to the roots either, it just took away all the bad stuff from MMX7, and VIOLA! returning to the roots.
Sonic unleashed pretty much did the same thing.

Wow. Loved the nod to Star Wars at the beginning there. And the whole fight was pretty amazingly directed. I'd love to know who storyboarded it.

Woah... Wel I gotta say, if all else fails, they could just stick to producing theatrical films instead. The title screen is definitely more suited to the Japanese title, though.

Wel I gotta say, if all else fails, they could just stick to producing theatrical films instead. I've been saying this for a while. Sonic Team's creative department put far more love into the games than their programming department, who seem to be dead weight at this point. XD

This game seems very...sci-fi.
Is that a good thing? It does seem very similar to Sonic Adventure 2 in terms of setting...

This game seems very...sci-fi. Is that a good thing? It does seem very similar to Sonic Adventure 2 in terms of setting... There isn't a sci-fi stage at all. At least that we know of. The stages are typically along these lines, all based on real-world locations (that's Africa). There's a stage for each continent, and they're each basically a stylized hodgepodge of places within that continent. Probably the most sci-fi one will be Empire City, the stage based on America. The intro's setting is just supposed to look like a typical Sonic endgame scene. It has more in common with Sonic 2's Death Egg or Sonic Heroes' Egg Fleet than anything else.

It's still available here. Gotta say, I really love the title screen theme there. And, hell, all the video's music.

Not bad. I already see the final boss of the game is another giant monster from ancient times though.

Not bad. I already see the final boss of the game is another giant monster from ancient times though. Yes, making it the second one of those in the series so far. Y'know, I'm always seeing people complain about monster final bosses, but the only other option is Eggman mech final boss, which has pretty much been done to death. The only originality we've had in an Eggman final boss lately was the Eggman/Eggman Nega double mech, and people complained about that too. It seems if it's not Doomsday Zone, it's not acceptable.

I just want a final battle that isn't fought while in Super Sonic mode. It would kinda help if we had a battle that wasn't against a giant monster or one of Eggman's machines, but I'm kinda deft for possibilities there.
Maybe have another scenario where Sonic races against Metal Sonic? Haven't seen one o' them since Sonic CD, y'know.
EDIT: Though to be fair, every single console Sonic game since SA1 ended with a battle against a giant monster while in Super mode. Every single one. To say that battling Eggman machines is done to death is a bit of an overstatement considering the circumstances here.
Maybe the battle could be given a twist? Like starting the battle against Eggman in Super mode, then having to fight it's more powerful upgraded form without the Super effect? That could pose a challenge.
