I don't really like this idea... I don't know why, I just don't.

Yoshi (Dinosaur Land colors) <-> Delfino Yoshi (Isle Delfino colors) One of the reasons why I want Deoxys in SSBB is because of its four forms (Normal, Attack, Defense, and Speed). That would make a very unique and innovative playable character. This is a list of what could be made with those forms: - Nothing
- Make them appear as short-lasting forms inside battles when using specific moves
- Let them be stat-wise/move-wise different Deoxys transformations inside battle, changeable either by using a special move or any another way (perhaps by taunting or defending)
- Let them be non-functional "costumes" selectable before battle
- Let them be stat-wise/move-wise different characters, selectable before battle

I just remembered, with the Zamus thing, L.A.C from SSBA suggested the L button to be used for some characters. Minish Link changes size, Samus into Sero Suit, etc.
Not all characters would have an L move.

Yoshi (Dinosaur Land colors) <-> Delfino Yoshi (Isle Delfino colors) What difference will that make? Perhaps a juice move replacing the Egg Roll or the Egg Bomb. They could even use fruits instead of eggs for Egg Bomb. I just remembered, with the Zamus thing, L.A.C from SSBA suggested the L button to be used for some characters. Minish Link changes size, Samus into Sero Suit, etc. Not all characters would have an L move. Um..............what? I think he means a possible way for transformations without having to use a special move (like Zelda's/Shiek's Down+B). That would work with characters that have two personalities.

Interesting, I found this on Wikipedia's Mole Mania page: "Recently, Muddy was mentioned on Masahiro Sakurai's Japanese website for the new Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Super Smash Bros X), as character he found interesting enough to potentially make it onto the game's roster." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_Mania

I'm just going to check that.....
Yep, as I thought. He was one of the character suggested by a fan for SSBB, but Sakurai didn't comment on it at all. Guess that's the problem with anybody being able to edit Wiki, eh?
EDIT: See? All gone. Now it's the truth.

Indeed, I've seen mistakes on Wikipedia far worse than misinformation on a video game page.

I'd love it for the personal character intros to make a comeback. Ian J of RPGWorld fame once said that it was good they were gone because it didn't give players a chance to adjust to where they were, but once you've played Melee for long enough, the surprise is pretty much gone. I mean, I've had the game since it came out so I couldn't tell you how many times I've played a level on certain controller slots, but it's always so automatic that the lack of personal intros doesn't hinder me anymore XD
Here's what I think:
Bowser - Ride in on the Koopa Klown Car or leap out from a fiery explosion Peach - Float in on a parasol Dr. Mario - Jump out of a virus bottle from the Dr Mario games Zelda - Floats down in a crystal, which shatters Young Link - Shimmies out from a small hole Ganondorf - Rides in on a horse and jumps off Pichu - Same as Pikachu and Jigglypuff Mewtwo - Appears in a bolt of lightning Falco - Drops in from the Sky Claw Ice Climbers - Burst from a block of ice Mr. Game & Watch - I like the idea of him freeing himself from a Game & Watch system lying on the ground, so I'mma go with that. Marth - Rides in on a Pegasus Roy - Rides in on a dragon Wario - Rides the bike in, except it's going on its side and he falls off Pit - Floats from the sky on his wings Meta Knight - Divebombs into the ground with his wings spread wide Zero Suit Samus - I imagine the same as Samus Snake - Pops outta the box!
Though I'm not a big fan of the "alternate personalities" idea, I think the cast is fine enough without that sort of thing. Otherwise it would feel like a Dragonball Z fighting game, you know?
One thing I kind of would like to see is multiple costumes for a character which have alternate colors (where applicable) instead of just one costume with alternate colors. This would solve the Mario/Doc Mario dilemma, and also leave room for a few other nifty costumes without changing stats. How awesome would it be if we could have Delfino Shirt-n-Shades Mario? We could also have, say, Falco wearing his classic costume (maybe revised with the current stylization brought on by Star Fox Command), the costume he sported in Adventures (ugh...) and then the one in Assault. We could also see Ocarina of Time Link and Oni Link with Twilight Princess Link. This way we get the variants we want without stat changes.

Colors would still be needed, because they are used to associate a character with his/her/its team, and not every character has different costumes.
Plain costume variations would be cool but, in some cases, they'd leave me wondering what would happen if they had special uses. Some of them are plain cotumes (like Delfino Shirt-n-Shades Mario) but others are completely different in the games (like Fierce Deity Link, who grabs his sword with both hands).

I'd like to see Dark Link being included in links alternate costumes, and not just link having different coloured tunics.

One reason I would like to see Takamaru in there is because I'd love to see an old Japanese castle stage with remixed Murasamejou music in there. Plus the character is just cool.
