No, I prefer having this thread here. That other thread is about the game as a whole (and I opened it to discuss stuff that's already been confirmed to be in the game - it just sort of grew from there).
I've said it before: now that Pit and Wario are confirmed, I would like to see:
Takamaru (from Nazo no Murasamejou)
Sukapon (from Joy Mecha Fight)
ROB the Robot

Im also hoping for Lip and C. Olimar. I feel there franchise need representaion and they would both have interesting movesets.

Let's see, Wario, Pit, Meta Knight.... that already covers the characters I wanted to see badly.
And what else I want to see? Well, it's not neccessary SSBB, but I want...
- 1 or 2 Golden Sun characters. But there's already many sword-wielding characters, and by default, most (6 out of 8 can) GS characters use swords.
- A non-sword wielding, quite violent FE lord class character. You know who I'm talking about.
- The daughter of the above-mentioned character. If you don't get who she is, you probably pictured the wrong character for the above one.
- Prof. E. Gadd. It's fun to see him actually fighting.
- Jr. You-know-who Jr. No, not DK Jr or Morton Koopa Jr. I mean Bowser Jr.
- Ryu Suzaku, and I think he's known as Rick something. The main character of F-Zero GP Legend, Climax and the anime series.
- Some Urban Champion character. I don't know why I'd think of that though.
- Diddy Kong. It seems that HAL Lab is unwilling to take in other-than-HAL-2nd-party-characters, but now Diddy Kong is solely Nintendo's.
And about already-there characters...
- Luigi (don't tell me he's not there; it can't happen): Make use of his vaccum cleaner. Ever since Luigi Mansion I always wanted to see Poltergust 3000 in SSB series. No, not merely a trophy.
- Kirby: I hope there are multiple ultimate moves.... besides cook I want crash. And I want to have sleep randomly happen, making use of the player's lick.
- Pikachu: the vid we've seen before has the move for Mario, Kirby and Link, but not Pika. Now I'm waiting to see what his move is.
As for 3rd party ones... If it has to happen anyways, I'd like...
- White Bomber (Bomberman): Don't ask me why. That series is probably the only 3rd party that I liked as much as the rest of Nintendo's games. And ahh, Super Bomberman 5 is probably my 2nd fav... (1st being Saturn Bomberman; and I yesterday tried PSP's Bomberman Portable, and... duh, the worst I've played. Why 3D on a low-res screen (resulting in unclear images)? It's not like if it's a 640*480 TV screen!)
- Resident Evil main character who I don't even know who that is: Sorry for that, but.... You know, Bio's director is quite of a Nintendo fan, and without Capcom's "leader"'s 'orders", later RE games would be GC exclusive. Poor guy.... Anyway, he's a much better choice than MGS's Snake if they'd go get "so-called-mature" characters anyways. But no. Sakurai loves Kojima. It's a fact.

Every people I have added in my Super Smash Bros. Chaos pictures. But I have to agree that the DK series need one or two more representatives. I would also love to see content related to the New Island Of Demons (Shin Oni Ga Shima) in Brawl (they need to put at least a remixed tune, since that game's soundtrack is awesome and touching. What else would you expect from Koji Kondo himself?)

I would love to see Mike Jones because I'm a long-time StarTropics fan and no else has mentioned him yet. And now it's time for another edition of unlikely playable characters in SSBB: - Undo Dog from Mario Paint. I don't think I ever fully understood why they used a dog icon for undoing mistakes. - Mikhail Gorbachev for Tetris. Though, I wouldn't mind having a character composed entirely of Tetris blocks. - Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2. Some people don't like Solid Snake in their Smash Bros game, but a lot of people don't even like Raiden in their MGS game.  |

Also, not a character, but the final boss has to be Prof. Kawashima (or whatever the hell his name is). You defeat both hands, and then they fall away before rising again, revealing his giant head (and possibly a stylus in one hand).

He isn't a captain...  Boo (Super Mario) Koopa Troopa (Super Mario) Koopa Paratroopa (Super Mario) Space Pirate (Metroid) Chozo Ghost (Metroid) And I seriously hope all the above are not true. Basic enemies as fighters? I would hate it so much if any of the above became playable characters. That's too stupid... if people got pissy because of Snake in it, I will throw a complete tantrum if any of the above make it in. What a waste of precious character slots! But I would like to see them in the respective Adventure Mode levels! That would be good. A proper Metroid exploration level would be great! |

And I agree Fry. But since the Pokemon are in, and Toad is in (though they aren't enemies, they are similiarly ununique), so it is possible. I dearly hope it doesn't happen though.
Oh yeah, I forgot about these Mario characters I want in;

Emotions Peach, removing original peach
Daisy, have original peach's moveset

Third Party; in order of importance:
Bomberman (been in Nintendo published game, on VC)
Sonic (on VC)
Square Enix char. from Mario Hoops 3on3 (in nintendo published game)
Rayman; or maybe another UbiSoft char. (UbiSoft jumping in Wii boat early and supporting it alot)

Toad isn't in. And Pokemon are different - notice how Pokemon are the main part of, and the title character of, Pokemon games. Koopa Troopa, Boo, a Chozo, etc, etc are not for their series. (yes, yes, Metroid, I know. Shut up).
And why does emotions Peach have to be a new character? Why not just give Peach an emotion based super, and maybe if Toad gets in give him Peach's old Bv and give Peach another emotion to replace that. I mean, other characters aren't just based on one game, why should Peach be?
