* Marth became so popular, an official anime about the titles he appeared in was released in Japan and North America. I found and bought a VHS for that ages ago. Marth sounds so femmy. It was average at best, but then again I've only ever played Sacred Stones so my interest in FE isn't that great.

Sqrt, you're really letting your ignorance of Nintendo games shine through Ike is the hero of the Gamecube Fire Emblem. Seeing as I've never played a Fire Emblem game in my entire life, I didn't have the foggiest idea who Ike was. To be honest I didn't know who Marth and Roy were until SSBM.

I think Fry was referring more to your entire post in general (which was pretty ignorant), rather than just that one thing about Ike.

Yes, you outwardly dismissed a bunch of characters because you didn't know anything about them. There's plenty of people out there who play SSBM who have no idea what game Ness is from (like most non-fanboys in Europe, for example, where the game was never released) or even some of the Pokemon, thanks to that game's lack of "coolness" amongst certain crowds. Doesn't mean those characters should be instantly dismissed.
Sometimes you have to do your research before you make bold, sweeping statements like yours. You might not know who Ike is, so perhaps put it into Google before making a judgement.

personally it would be good to see Captain N from the old TV series on it as a secret character and Midna would be a good character to add the Zelda side of things

Yeah, does any one know if that Tingle game is being released outside of Japan? Because that would be awesome.

Did'nt everybody used to hate Tingle? It seems strange why everybody loves him now.

Tingle lives in the world of So-Bad-Its-Good, along with Lex Luthor's "Solve My Maze!" from Superman 64, and George W Bush.
In fact, if there was such a world, Tingle would be king.

If it is truly confirmed, then excellent ;D
I never hated Tingle. IGN started spreading malicious lies about him, but NinDB has always stood beside our strange little friend.
Edge magazine had an interesting take: Why is it that cartoons revel in the ugly, but videogames are scared to? Tingle and Wario are almost unique in that they are grotesque oddities. They make for more entertaining "cartoon" games, but you just don't see it very often. Kudos to Nintendo for giving it a go.
For the record, Edge loves Tingle's Rupee Land. And they tend to be right. ;D

I like Tingle purely because Nintendo fanboys hate him, and I like annoying Ninty fanboys in any way possible.
PLUS HE WEARS TIGHTS.

Personally I still hate Tingle. I mean he's extortionate in Wind Waker (384 Rupees/Triforce Chart!) and is camper than a whole bus-load of Larry Grayson impersonators. I think he's the second most annoying nintendo character ever created (behind the beetle from DK64) and I don't want to see him in Brawl.
