All the cool kids are doing it! YES![/u] Takamaru-Do I need to say more? Samurai GorohBlack Shadow/Jody Summers-F-Zero is a big enough series to have two characters. But I still just want Goroh. Lip-I just think she'd be a really unique character. And she's a character who started on the Super NES/Famicom. Ray Whatever-With all those guns, bombs, and pods there's plenty of attacks he could have, and Smash needs a robot. Andy/Nell/Someone else-Wars needs represented, but no one is suppose to return in AWDS2, so I don't know who. Someone from Orange/Red Star probably. Olimar-He'd be a really unique character, and a tiny character to replace Pichu. Mike Jones-Japan needs to learn about this awesome Nintendo game. Ridley-Samus' rival deserves a spot. And he's not to big. NO![/u] Krystal-I don't hate her like everyone else here, but I think two Star Fox characters is enough. This is assuming Falco is returning. If he isn't, move Krystal into the "YES!" section. Animal Crossing character-I don't really like generic characters. Pokemon Trainer is Red! Ness-I don't have any problem with Ness, but it annoys me that people gladly accept that the old Fire Emblem character(Roy) gets replaced with the new Fire Emblem character(Ike), but Earthbound, a much smaller series, should keep the old and new. Young Link-Although he's not as bad as Dr. Mario and Pichu, I would prefer Tingle or Vaati over another Link. Geno-He's one of my favorite Mario characters, but there are several characters that are more important.

Well then I suppose I too have to do this officially. I pretty much want:Megaman: I played this and Mario a lot as a kid. Basically a playable Megaman would give Brawl perfection status. Takamaru: Awesome samurai with a crapton of moves. Smash needs a samurai. Lip: If they can't pull a moveset out of their butt, atleast she'd make an awesome AT involving her summoning those big smiley face blocks. Prince Sablé: Too bad this guy ain't popular, 'cause a fighter that could switch between frog and human form would be cool. Wouldn't even have to be a down-B move, just an animation for some of his attacks would be ok. Why is his rival being requested instead anyway. Balloon Fighter: A generic guy, like Trainer, so Alice might be better. Not really counting on any of them being playable though. Sukapon: Not likely, but his sort of dance like movements would be interesting to see. Even as an AT it would be fine. Muddy Mole/ Bubbles: Oh who am I kidding they won't be playable, but they'd be awesome as an AT too. Twinbee/Master Higgins/Bubble,Bobble: Unpopular, unlikely third party characters, but it'd be incredible if they made it in somehow. These are okay:Olimar: I don't really like this guy, but if he gets in he'll probably have a different, unique way of playing, just like Pokemon Trainer is unique (but not the same!). Also bonus points for being a friggen astronaut. Ridley: Wouldn't mind if he's a boss, yet it would kick butt if he were playable. Isaac: A moveset based on Earth magic would be pretty rad. Black Shadow: If he's the heavy Capt. Falcon clone it would be cool actually. Though he's a big fat wuss. AC Civilian: At first I didn't like this because it's another generic character. But if he ends up playable and has a 'whack shit with shovel' move then all is good. Ray MKsomething: Whatever version I don't care, Smash is missing robots. Then I can have monkey vs robot battles. Simon Belmont: First I wanted him a whole lot, but then I remembered they turned him into some redhead douchebag. These are terrible:Waluigi or any Warioware character: Uninteresting nobodies that would also require a lot of moves being pulled out of the ass. Krystal: Furry fap material, fuck off. Dr.Mario: People who await his return want Mewtwo to be cut. Enough said. Another Sonic character: Last thing we need is one of Sonic's goofy friends taking up roster space. Advance Wars CO: These guys do nothing but sip whine while their soldiers fight the bloody battle. And the 'he can be like Trainer' excuse is stupid because 1) That's ripping off a unique character, just like making another 2-team character like IC and 2) You actually play as Trainer's pokemon who are pretty well known and requested, unlike generic tank/soldier/whatever. But yet, playable Andy wielding a wrench sounds goofy enough to work. Not counting on it though. Tingle: I hate that creepy bastard. Okami, Leon Kennedy, Rayman: Crappy 3rd party characters spammed everywhere just because they appeared on a Nintendo console. Phoenix Wright: Another forum I go to keeps wishing, argueing and bitching how awesome it would be if he was in 'or else I will be dissapointed' so now I really hate him, sorry. Professor Oak, Link's Dad, Peppy Hare, Toad: Ugh Also I'd rather have a lot of characters from different franchises then even more secondary characters from a franchise already represented.

I want to be a cool kid too!! I do wantTakamaru The apprentice samurai with a sword, whirling blades, fireballs, the ability to vanish into thin air, and a devastating lightning attack. There's no better candidate out there! Sukapon The fighting, dancing robot, who cartwheels, separates and throws his head, and twirls around on the spot. Unfortunately, he's looking more unlikely by the day. Stafy Nintendo and Tose's popular little star who never made it out of Japan. He jumps, he spins, he whirls, and could bring a host of aquatic attacks to the game. Mega Man We have Konami, and we have Sega. Capcom's heroic mascot (born on a Nintendo console no less) should be next in line. He's got his Mega Buster, not to mention a host of Robot Master attacks available for his specials. Pac-Man Namco's mascot, and rival to Mario for most well known videogame character ever. He does more than eat power pills and ghosts. He's been in many, many adventure games through the years. I do not wantRidley At least not playable. He'd make a great boss character, but he wouldn't be any good as a playable. 2nd F-Zero Character Sorry guys - Captain Falcon has kept the series burning, but it's characters are just not suited to fighting games. With the second most popular character out, anybody else would be a waste of a slot. Krystal She makes me feel a bit sick. And these would be nice, but unlikelyBubbles Spinning attacks and sonic wave. I've already got a whole moveset for this little critter planned in my head... and have done for years. Alice from Balloon Kid. She'd be a good proper Balloon Fight character, although aside from being able to fly, I don't see how she'd work all that well. I'll think of something. Muddy Well, I love this mole critter. He can throw cabbages, bombs and weights around, charge up attacks, or hide underground! Tingle But only if, true to character, he's really lame at fighting. The new Pichu, if you will

You guys have suckered me into it. I have to voice my opinion.
Who I want!
Isaac: Not really surprising if you can see my sig. He brings Psynergy to the table when dealing with generic sword fighters. Krystal(?!): Oh my, is this too controversial for you? You shouldn't hate someone because of the people who like them. Furries are freaks, but any anthropormophic animal, or even not so (in Lion King's case) can be made disgusting. She is a good character with a lot of decent moves. And I think the people who hate her, aren't really comfortable with their sexuality/fetishes.
Come on dude. That's a horrible excuse. I see no one complaining about Fox, or even Pikachu. Anything is fappable. Look up Rule 34. I dare you. Mega Man: Really good character, I'm sure you've heard enough of him though. Animal Crossing Char: Endless possibilities, character customization, to name one. Cel Shaded Link: Not even a clone anymore.
Who I don't want
Demille/Takamaru/Stafy/etc.: If I dont know the character, I can't base an opinion on them. That's about it: Yeeeeup.

Yes I know about rule 34. I also witnessed Ice Climber porn and a Devil World rape pic, but just check out Krystal's official art and say they didn't even try to cater to those interested in cartoon foxes with the way she's posing. But let's not argue about this subject again...

Lets be general because I'm lazy.
Who I want
More third party characters: Lots more. Not just 1 or 2. Plenty more. They're better characters (generally) and add more variety than any other thing Ninty could give us. But damned if we won't disagree because we are Nintendo fanboys and can't survive without our obscure Takamaru's and various Fire Emblem dudes and crap More bad dudes: And not just the guys from the game of the same name. Though they would be awesome, and surely if they're bad enough dudes to rescue the president, they could easily take on Mario and the like. But anyhoo, bad guys / villians / whatever. If they are an interesting character, then I would like to see more of them - and it'll surely only help Subspace Emissary to have a better story.
Who I don't want
More girls for the sake of more girls: Theres nothing to suggest that, say Jody Summers should be a playable character. I don't care if it bumps up the number of girls, this isn't a normal fighting game where they can make up a girl for every guy they put in, its based on Nintendo / video game all-stars - and very few of those are female.
I'll go into more detail later. Maybe.

You alright Teev? You seem to be in quite a fiery mood today. We've had the Krystal argument before, and it's not really cool to try and cause another one. Saying you want/don't want Krystal is fine, but don't be intentionally provocative on things we've covered. I'm with DiU on this one though. If I had my way, there'd be a load of videogame mascots. I highly suspect that may be Sakurai's next project - supposing SSBB goes well

You guys are like a disease! ;D For this, I'm skipping over returning characters I think are either no-brainers or at least have a good shot of coming back--basically, any character who has an original moveset.
Who TEi Wants: FALCO: This is really nothing new. Falco's my favorite video game character ever, he was in Melee and has a decent shot at coming back for Brawl, but it really boils down to whether or not Star Fox is worthy of having three characters; if not, I suspect Krystal would get a slot instead. I'm getting antsy enough where I'd like Sakurai to say something in regards to Falco...even if he's just an Assist Trophy, having the peace of mind, knowing the truth--it'd be great to relax. I'm starting to feel that not knowing where he stands is more annoying than the thought that he might not be playable.
YOUNG LINK: He has so much potential to have his own moveset, and he'd look unique. I don't dig that whole "He'd look awkward in the game" schtick; Mr. Game & Watch is about as outlandish as you can get, so I don't see how you could keep Young Link out based on looks alone.
MEGAMAN: Mega is host to my second favorite video game character ever, Cutman. And since I know Cutman could never be playable in an SSB game, he could easily be included as an Assist Trophy, or a regular Trophy, and Megaman could easily use the Rolling Cutter as one of his moves. The issue there is that Megaman himself needs to be in...also, Megaman is pretty sweet in his own right. Saying he's done nothing for video games would be like accusing the original LoZ of not being the main inspiration for Sandbox-style gameplay. Oh, and robots are cool.
Who TEi Could Give Or Take: STAFY/TAKAMARU/SUKAPON/ETC: Sorry, guys. I honestly just don't know a lot about these guys to feel strongly in one way or the other XD
ANIMAL CROSSING: I don't see it happening, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be pleasantly surprised if it did. The only reason I can't see any character from the series making it in is because everyone of importance has already been seen in the background of Smashville, including multiple designs of humans.
F-ZERO CHARACTER: SHOCK!!! At this point, I've had to tell myself to not expect a second one. If Black Shadow or Pico or Daigoroh get in--hey, awesome surprise! But it's more likely that it's not going to happen, and I don't feel like getting my hopes up XD
RIDLEY: There are a select few Nintendo characters I would consider truly METAL (\m/ \m/) and Ridley is one of them. He's also the most notable Metroid character after Samus herself, however, he'd also make a fitting boss character. At this point, him not being in the game is difficult to imagine, it's just a matter of where he stands.
TINGLE: No denying, Tingle would make a great replacement for Pichu as the joke character. But I imagine that, in the hands of a master, he'd be nigh unstoppable...not to mention really sexy. Hiyo!
BOWSER JR.: This is similar to the F-Zero character thing; I'm preparing myself for what's likely to happen. Bowser Jr. is without a doubt the most important Mario character that has yet to be represented by playable status, and it's just a matter of whether or not Sakurai feels Mario still needs five characters.
NESS: I honestly never played him that much, but he's still one of the Original Twelve and it'd be sad to see him go. I mostly wouldn't want to see him gone only because his SSB entrance was great and needs to come back for Brawl.
PICHU: Only because my friend Freshmeat mains in him. XD
KRYSTAL: I don't think, in the last debate, I made my stance on Krystal as clear as it should have been. My beef with her questionable fanbase, persobality and purpose for creation aside, the reason I am most against her is because I want Falco to be playable before Krystal. Krystal has the potential to be an interesting character to play as, no questions about it; I'd definitely give her a shot. Again, it all boils down to Star Fox being important enough to have three characters, and I'm not sure if it is. Krystal is the one character that would get in the way of Falco coming back. If Falco does come back, then Krystal is more than welcome. Either way, Krystal will probably be in the game, it's just a matter of if Falco can come back too.
OLIMAR: Could he work? Perhaps. Sorta like the Animal Crossing character, I don't see it happening but I'll be pleasantly surprised if it does.
GENO: Like I said yesterday, he'd just be neat to have. It probably won't happen (see Bowser Jr.), but it'd be a treat if it happened.
Who TEi Does Not Want: K. ROOL: I gotta be honest: Rare villains never do anything for me, and K. Rool is no exception. I find him incredibly bland. I'd rather not have him in as a player character; if he's a boss, I could live with him, but he'd probably take the Ice Climbers' place as my least-played due to disinterest.
SIMON BELMONT: Not yet, anyway, largely because Konami already has Snake. And I never really got into Castlevania. When third parties have greater representation in SSB, then yeah, I could see it happening.
STREET FIGHTER: Same issue as Simon--Street Fighter is owned by Capcom, and I honestly don't like the franchise or its characters (no offense, Rygar). It's just not my bag. I'd prefer Megaman, who has had a longer history with Nintendo and, IMO, would be more interesting to get behind.
MORE FSCKING SONIC CHARACTERS: No. Just, no. I stopped liking new Sonic characters after Adventure, and even then my favorite cast is the one introduced in Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
MII: I don't find them that interesting beyond showing off and trading.
WALUIGI/DAISY: They're just not important. Considering Waluigi has never been in a true Mario game and Daisy's only been in one, they just don't have any pull. Not to mention that Waluigi has no identity.
ROY: I gotta be honest...I don't like Fire Emblem that much. Aside from the fact that they're obscenely difficult and that every time you lose a party member, the death is permanent unless you restart the mission, the character designs don't catch my fancy. Ike is okay, he's pretty rugged for a prettyboy, but I think FE is fine with two characters--Ike, whom we know for sure, and most likely Marth, the original FE star and the only one with three games to his name. Roy looks like he's just a victim of contemporary gaming here.
DR. MARIO: I don't think this one needs explaining; Dr. Mario is the cloniest clone in Melee, and there's nothing that could really be done to make him original. With the My Music option, we can still have his illin' music without needing the character himself.

No problem Tei, you're free to not like Street Fighter. As a matter of fact, like I've explained before, I agree with you. The 2D fighting game world is too big and too confusing to deserve to be in brawl. All of those characters should just continue to crossover with each other... Nintendo isn't the place for them.
In another, unrelated, note... I feel I should say that out of everyone here, I'm probably the most vocal about Krystal. No. I don't like her. And I realize my reasons are very hypocritical. I dislike her because of her....[shudder]....sexuality. Because she caters to a crowd of furries. Because a Nintendo character from a franchise I once loved has become the mascot for a sick fetish. Besides that though... she's also very uninteresting. Though, it is very hypocritical because... yeah I know about rule 34. I've been to the index. I've looked around.... my curiosity gets the best of me. I've found out that... yeah there's oceans of Krystal and other Nintendo crap.... but it pales in comparison to the amount of.... friggin.... POKEMON CRAP.
And that's that furry shit again.
Had to find this out the hard way... but it's the most popular rule 34 thing out there. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you'd find every combination of all 492. THATS VERY WRONG.
So... you'd think I'd hate all Pokemon the way I hate Krystal... right? You'd think I'd hate Peach, Daisy, Samus and Zelda too while I'm at it.... but no. I only dislike Krystal... and shudder at the idea of HER in smash brothers.... while anything else from Nintendo is just fine. Is that hypocritical? Does my knowledge of these perversions make me a hypocrit? I'm not sure I know the answer to that... but it's like 8bitretroboney said.... she was designed for it. I really, really, honestly and truely don't believe Nintendo created Pokemon with that weirdness in mind. (Well... not the actual Pokemon themselves. Misty and May and all that.... they're asking for it... )
Same goes with Peach, Zelda, and Samus... they all have dignity. Even Sonic characters are mostly innocent victims... except for that gross bat. I don't have to rant about her here though... since I know THAT attrocity won't be getting into Smash Brothers.
And with all that nonscence said... I can even say I won't be all that surprised if she gets in... and has sexy half naked win poses, seductive taunts, very stupid made up special moves and an extremely dumb final smash. And I'll get over it. The ONLY THING that could be any worse.... would be....
....some stupid f***ing Kingdom Hearts f*cking bulls***. That sh**ty f***ing sh** better stay the f*** away from this game!!! I'm not kidding!

If Sonic isn't innocent because of Rouge, then Mario also isn't innocent. Rouge is basically just Flurrie mixed with Ms. Mowz, after all. Except I find Flurrie infinately more disgusting.

Wow, I never figured that I was actually in the minority for a good amount of my wants and expectations! Oh well. Here's my list anyways.
Who I Want:[/u] Jigglypuff: I'm pretty sure she'll be back, and I definitely hope so. Not only is she one of my best characters in Melee, she's just a lot of fun to play as. Wind Waker Link: The "clone" argument, the "out of place graphics" argument, and the "two Links" argument all do nothing for me. WW Link's fighting style and arsenal are completely different from TP Link's, and he has the potential to be a ridiculously unique character. It would be incredibly easy to make him NOT cel-shaded and still have him retain his original appearance, much like how Jigglypuff looks exactly like she does in the anime but she's not hand-drawn. And finally, unlike Link and Young Link in Melee technically being the same person, TP Link and WW Link are two completely different people that just happen to share the same name and fashion sense. I think he'd be fantastic in Brawl and see no reason why he wouldn't be included. Lucario: One, he'd be a great and unique fighter. Two, I disagree with people that say the series needs less representation. I'd think that the franchise deserves at least one unlockable newcomer. Mega Man: He'd obviously be great for many reasons that have been stated over and over. Nuff said. Phoenix Wright: He'd be HILARIOUS. I don't really expect him in. At all. But if he was it'd be awesome. A Square-Enix character: Because as great as Mega Man is, there are a hoboload of third-party characters that are just as likely contenders to take his spot, and at this point, seeing as Mega Man has yet to be announced, possibly more likely. I'd bet on a Squeenix character appearing instead, although which one, I couldn't really say.
Who I Wouldn't Mind:[/u]: All Veterans Besides Dr. Mario, Roy, and Pichu: Yup. Jigglypuff is my Most Wanted Veteran, but I really think it'd be great if most everybody came back (Young Link as Wind Waker Link. If he came back as regular Young Link I think it'd be weird and I'd definitely be less pleased) since they're all either very important to their respective franchise, or they just bring something really cool to the table that would be lacking otherwise. Olimar:: I couldn't really get into Pikmin, but I can't doubt that he'd be a pretty interesting fighter. Stafy: It didn't occur to me until recently, but he'd really, REALLY work for Brawl. And maybe if he showed up in Brawl, we'd finally get one of his games to hit the States. Bowser Jr.:: This is one of the choices that I don't really like as a character, but expect to be in anyways due to his importance in his franchise and possibilities in his moveset. And because of that I can't really say I'd throw a tantrum if he was in the playable roster, as long as he was fun to play as. Krystal:: Ditto everything I just said about Bowser Jr. Ridley: Ridley used to be my most wanted character for Brawl hands down, but since the revelations of Charizard and unplayable bosses, I can't say that Ridley is likely or even necessary as a playable character. If he WAS playable it'd be a pleasant surprise, but I don't really see it happening anymore. Issac, Andy, Ray, etc.: I think it'd be neat if some of these characters from smaller franchises showed up, but for one reason or another I think most if not all of them will get Assist Trophy duties, if anything.
Who I Don't Really Want:[/u] Waluigi and Daisy: If they ever show up in something besides a Mario spinoff game, maybe I'll change my mind. But as is, they're just wastes of a character slot. Waluigi would be a decent Assist Trophy though. Takamaru: Yeah guys, sorry. I know you all see this amazing samurai character, but all I see is Generic Feudal Japan Link. The only thing he has is a cult following, most of it in Japan, and while because of that cult following I think he'll definitely appear in some form, probably an Assist Trophy, I just don't think he'd be worthy of a playable slot. Mii: Barf. Just too bland and not versatile enough to be any fun, in my opinion.

Besides, he seems to me like the only reasonable choice if they plan to add a new Zelda character. Vaati would be awesome, don't get me wrong, but they'd have to improvise a little with his moveset, and he seems a tad obscure to me. Tingle...um...yeah. Midna would be cool, but I don't want three TP characters.

Well, I want Jigglypuff back, too--but I don't think she'll get cut to begin with which is why I never covered her. I intentionally left out everyone that was in Melee that we don't know about except Falco, YL, Ness, Pichu, Roy and Doc Mario because those six feel like they are in the most danger of not making it into Brawl. Ganondorf gets a pass where the other clones did not for being Zelda's other big character, and I honestly believe Sakurai wouldn't burn any character without an original moveset. Unless, of course, he does the same thing to some of these characters that he did to Ness and Lucas.
Basically, I figure the remaining Melee characters that we haven't seen yet in Brawl except the other five clones and Ness are safe to come back. From there, hopefully Sakurai has enough heart to revive YL and Falco. XD

What Rob Wants:
Captain Falcon We all know he'll be back. I'm just taking this opportunity to voice my yet-to-be-heard concern over why he hasn't showed up yet. Making him unlockable again is a really stupid move, second character or not.
Luigi Again, he's pretty much in the bag if all the other Mario characters are back. I'm hoping he gets the same treatment as Mario by having the Poltergust 3000 as a Down Special.
Jigglypuff I love this little thing. I really do. This really can go either way, though as far as Sakurai's decisions. Still, it's a Smash tradition to have her as the first unlockable, but given the Kirby bias and Mother 3 stuff, I'm wondering if the thing about Jiggs being cut for Melee will end up carrying over to Brawl...
Ness Trust me, I can think of a way to save him. It's a real shame to replace a character purely because of Special Moves, since Lucas's regular attacks are all different. If anything, he already has PK Flash, and they can give him PK Teleport for his Up Special, which I guess can act as a modified PK Thunder (as well as his Entrance), and maybe PK Shield for his Down Special, which could work like Fox's reflector. Side Special could be anything from PK Starstorm to PK Paralysis.
Falco If they do bring back Ness but don't change his Specials, maybe they can do the opposite for Falco and give him the same regular attacks as Fox but different Specials. I'd rather see him using a thunder-based recovery rather than a fire-based one, and instead of a Reflector he can get a bigger gun for a Down Special.
Ganondorf He needs more moves based on what he actually did in the games. If he's TP Ganondorf, they can dip into that.
Mike Jones My vision shows Mike and Takamaru acting as US and JPN counterparts of one another. They both have a bunch of throwing weapons and they both come from linear Zelda type games. If Ness is out, maybe his baseball bat and yo-yo attacks can be handed over to Mike.
Takamaru Anything that's already been stated in this topic already is what should go for Takamaru. I just want him in there on the grounds that the US gets equal treatment in the form of Mike.
Mach Rider Sakurai likes him. I like him. He can work. He's be a heavy guy, and his Specials would involve his bike being able to split apart and reform as his gun. He could also split and reform himself to teleport around the screen.
Balloon Fighter/Alice Whether they use a generic Fighter or the little girl, I know of a good way to make them work. If the Flipper is out as an item, then it should be their main form of attacking. Taking damage would reduce the size of their balloon, thus lowering their jump height. For Specials, they'd shoot the little sparks of lightning (Standard), pump up their balloons for more jump height (Down), deploy a parachute (Up) and...uh... I can't think of a good Side Special. A little help?
What Rob Is Indifferent To:
Krystal Yeah, unlike the rest of you guys, I'd rather pretend the furry stuff doesn't exist and hope she gets her Command uniform. It really wouldn't phase me if she were there, and if she is, hopefully she'll get a unique moveset.
Ridley Yeah, if he's playable, that would rock hard. If he's not, then he'd make a just-as-awesome boss character.
K. Rool Once again, the DK fan in me thinks he's rool if he were playable, but I'd be pretty grateful to get him as a boss.
New Pokeymans I actually respect Pokemon a whole lot, but it appears as though new generation rep is coming in the form of Pokeball summons this time. If Lukario isn't playable, then it doesn't matter much. I also just realized that I failed to mention Mewtwo or Pichu. I always thought the Pichu problem could be solved by taking his moveset and handing it over to a Plusle/Minun team, with a Pichu color scheme as a reference to the Pichu Bros. Party Panic.
Young Link If he has to come back, the Cat Eye look is definitely the way to go. Long lasting Spin Attack, Deku Leaf, Skull Hammer, Grapple Hook, Wind Waker, Four Sword, Ezlo the Minish Cap... there's more than enough to make him unique. If he's not back, then it's no skin off my arse.
Marth I hate to say this, but if Ness is cut and Marth stays, that would seem like hypocrisy. Given how similar all the big FE characters, having just one to represent the whole thing doesn't seem like that much of a problem. We already have a generic catch-all FE stage, you know.
Mr. Game and Watch I love this guy, and I used to be ready to kill someone if he didn't come back. Nowadays, it doesn't matter to me as much, since if he's not here, the possibility of having a GW stage still exists, and if anything, that could represent the series better than a character can. If he comes back, they should give him eyes and teeth like the other people on Flat Zone for more expression and laughs.
Dr. Mario Shock! Awe! I'm actually indifferent to a hideous clone! If he's not back, I wouldn't care and would perfectly understand why, but I can also see his return being justified in the form of retainin the original Mario moveset (Tornado as Down Special, no Meteor Smash) and even a different Final Smash. That, and if we had to have a character to represent the puzzle games, he's probably the best one, as opposed to Lip or Hakkun. Pains me to say it. It's also worth noting that he was the character I was most overjoyed about next to Mr. GW in Melee given that Dr. Mario is a personal favorite of mine and I loved seeing it represented. It's even the only game my mom can beat me at.
New F-Zero Characters Our best possible choice got Assist Trophy'd, so we're kind of screwed in this area. I can see Black Shadow or Jody Summer getting in by the skin of their teeth, but if they don't it wouldn't make that much of a difference, especially if MOTHER and FE get only one character each.
What Rob Does Not Want:
Roy Yeah, um.... we don't need him anymore. If I had to take another FE Lord, I'd take Sigurd, and only because he's Sakurai's favorite. Otherwise, I really don't think we need another FE character aside from Marth and the most recent one, which is Ike.
More Third Party Characters Some may scoff, some may applaud. I'd really rather they stop at Sonic, but I were forced to make a decision, I'd take either Pac-Man with moves from Pac-Man 2, Pac-In-Time and Pac-Man World, or Bomberman using the moves he had in DMTVWF plus a few more.
Another Purely Made-Up Character Seriously. It annoys me when people think GW is an actual character, because he never existed before Melee. If this happens again, I'll be pissed. The DS World Icon isn't helping.
More Mario Characters We have the big eight minus Toad, and we already know he's not playable. I can't stand Bowser Jr., and Daisy and Waluigi or anyone like that haven't earned their wings yet.
More Zelda Characters Young Link notwithstanding, the Triforce is complete. I'd rather have the three main recurring characters because any other ones are unique to only one side of the series (Midna, Vatii, Skull Kid) and the idea is to balance it out.
Miis Really dumb idea. Create-A-Player diminished the whole point of the friggin' game, and Wii Sports or some such nonsense isn't exactly playable moveset material. I'd rather settle for an Assist Trophy that varies in damage capacity depending on how many Miis you have in your plaza (Mii Parade).
