True, true. I forgot about the GBC MGS, and they did do a proper sequel in Japan.

Snake actually has five, Metal Gear(NES/Famicom), Snakes Revenge(NES), Metal Gear 2:Solid Snake(Famicom), Ghost Babel(GBC), and Twin Snakes(GCN). No... Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was an MSX game, not a Famicom game. It was the proper sequel. The NES sequel was developed by Konami but not Hideo Kojima.

Not to be an ass or anything, but Simon has been the main character in 3 Nintendo Castlevania games too, if my memory is correct (the original, Simon's Quest, and Super IV). Third party characters don't faze me at all. I'm quite curious to see who else may make it in. If Capcom, Sega, Square, Namco or any other third party makes it in, it'll be the only time you could ever combine those companies into one battle. Which is pretty awesome, in my opinion. Mega Man Vs. Sonic Vs. Pac Man Vs. Snake? That is a geekfest of all degrees of coolness, and only Brawl has the possibility to make it happen. ^_^ Yes, Simon would be a good choice, but how many characters with swords/whips do they really need? Also, I think the most likely characters are Sonic and Mega Man. Pac Man also has a chance since he was in a Mario Kart game. (the arcade one)

Someone who believes "The Nintendo Experience" is strictly playing first and second party titles as well as first party franchises farmed out to third parties (like Star Fox Assault) are really keeping a narrow view of the entire field. The Nintendo Experience is what the entire console has to provide you--not just what you pick and choose. Granted, while I'm terrible at MGS: The Twin Snakes, I'm still grateful that I got to experience it on my own accord. At the same time I'm also glad I experienced Star Fox Adventures, because it gave me a look at how terrible a game can be, too--even if it's a major franchise.
Hi everyone! I just came back from a weekened at ConnectiCon and got a lot of cool Nintendo Swag (like a plush Goomba with a Luigi cap on and a pillow shaped like Mario's hat!).

And really, the better question would be "what's the big deal with Sonic?" Apparently the only reason why a lot of people want Sonic in is because of the whole "Mario vs. Sonic" deal. The "Mario VS. Sonic" arguments should end, because none of the Sonic games made it to the Top Ten Best Games of All Time lists from GameFAQs and GameTrailers, but some Mario games did. Hey Sonic, let Mario give you a hair cut! And did anyone know there were some SEGA titles officially ported to the NES, even when the forgotten Master System was still selling and before Sonic was born?

I did! After Burner on the Famicom was a surprise. What was even more of a surprise was a legitimate copy of Columns on the Game Boy, released in Japan!
As far as I could tell, they were ported by another publisher and licensed from Sega. Sega never published on a Nintendo console till the Cube.

^ By "console", do you mean "not a handheld"? I think Sega ported ChuChu Rocket! to GBA before the 'Cube was even released.

Well, I actually meant "before they removed themselves from the hardware market". ChuChu Rocket and Sonic Advance both hit before the GC, methinks. ;D

I thought Shinobi showed up on the NES too... That was Ninja Gaiden. Though, there coulda been a Shinobi, I'm not aware of every game on the NES.

Though, there coulda been a Shinobi, I'm not aware of every game on the NES. Shinobi was, indeed, on the NES. So was Alien Syndrome. There could be others, but those are the two I'm aware of.

Even the Turbografx-16/PC Engine got some SEGA titles, including a Fantasy Zone title with the style and gameplay of the Space Harrier series. It is called "Space Fantasy Zone". However, Space Fantasy Zone wasn't released in stores, and was developed by NEC.

You're just so vocally against Snake in SSBB that I don't think I've heard you say anything good about the character or MSG. Without the clarification, it's easy to make the mistake. Yeah, I hit ConnectiCon once a year. Now I've got another year's worth of waiting to do...I'm going to set up a really nice cosplay this time. Count Bleck, of course.
