Megaman better damn well be in this game. I was either expecting 'just Snake' or 'Snake, Sonic and Megaman' and if that blue bomber doesn't make it I'll get angry every time I see Sonic's face in the character selection screen because all those Sega fanboys got their wish and I can't have my favorite videogame character from my childhood Ofcourse nevermind if they're going to put in that Megaman Battle Network douchebag, or the new one with the white pants.

The problem with just adding Nintendo characters is that eventually they are going to run out of well-known ones and no one but us is going to buy a game where the most well known new fighter is Prince Richard! Snake and Sonic represent a lease on life for a franchise who has pretty much run out of major franchises to call upon for fighters. Konami and Sega, if they found the deal lucrative, which considering Brawl's predessor outsells both Metal Gear Solid and Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Smash Bros. is known for being good advertizers, the two companies will donate their fighters for Smash 4. In addition seeing the success that the Metal Gear and Sonic franchises have gained due to Brawl, other companies might donate fighters to advertise THEIR franchises. SSB might not be the first crossover fighting game, but it is THE gaming crossover fighting game. No one else had succeed in making a game that plays like SSB and is as popular as SSB. In fact, the inclusion of Snake and Sonic actually FITS in with the concept of SSB.
In the SSB Series, a kid plays with his Nintendo Figurines to have a play battle. Now, a kid playing with Figurines wouldn't limit himself to one universe... So our kid, for this third game, decide to use his Snake & Sonic Figurines as well. =P
