If this pattern persists, then we may see Meta Knight...in September. *facepalm* Come on, Sakurai, no more being modest! Let's see what Meta Knight has to offer!

As soon as SSBB is released, I would like for y'all to give out codes on how to unlock characters, without mentioning the secret character's name. My plan is to have my sister get online and do this for me. Has Sakurai said if he's going to reveal the secret characters before December 3rd? Cause I really enjoy these updates, but don't want to see a bunch of spoilers in the last week or something.

I think the main reason Meta Knight hasn't shown his face yet is that he may be an unlockable. After all, why show a brand new starter if that wasn't the case?

But if MK is unlockable, why is he in screenshots? Snake isn't, and we KNOW he's unlockable. I think MK has some secret Sakurai is just not willing to reveal just yet, like how he's the villain of the whole game or a true-blue BOSS character (wouldn't that be awesome if Smash started doing that? Meta Knight's the M.Bison of Smashworld ) EDIT:Can I just say that, thus far, my list has been correct and still feasible? XD www.deviantart.com/deviation/35810233/EDIT2:DAMN! I was wrong. I have Deoxys in that pic *punches his desk* I could've been a GOD! >:/

Maybe Meta Knight is supposed to be "known" + "unlockable". Like many bosses and sub-bosses in fighting games.

Did they show SSBM unlockable characters before that came out?

Did they show SSBM unlockable characters before that came out? Nope. And even then, the first revealed were the more obvious ones, I believe. JPuff and Luigi. Then the "big shocker" after that was Falco. I believe they saved Mewtwo and Marth towards the middle, and the last few were like... Pichu, Ganon, Roy, and Game and Watch.

I remember first finding out about the Secret Characters and Clones through a different website other than the Smash Dojo (I practically orgasmed all over Fry via IM when finding out about Falco). It had a picture of Mewtwo and Luigi duking it out on the Subcon level XD But this was really close to the game's release--like within a month, I think.
But it was so long ago (holy shit, six years?), so I could be entirely wrong.
Is it just me, or is Brawl coming out in the US the exact same day Melee did?

Nope, it's not you. It is coming the same day as Melee.
I found out all the characters by unlocking them. I have heard though that before the game came out that there was a leaked screen of the entire roster. Most people however brushed it off as fake.

Not only that, but about 3 to 5 months before release a guy was going around all the forums posting the final roster. When people, myself included, saw Dr. Mario and Roy we laughed heartily. We put our foots in our mouths about a month before the game launched when screens leaked from Hong Kong XD

Does anyone know if the SSB and Melee versions of Smash Bros. Dojo are still up and running? If so, where can I find 'em? XD

Also, if you don't know what teching is, it's where you press R/L right before you hit the ground(after taking damage) and you'll get up real quick. I mention that becuase it was on the Melee site, but never in the player manual.

The Smash Dojos for SSB and SSBM were only in Japanese though. SSB and SSBMI'll have all the links up when I finish the updated SSB cameo guides. Maaan, I love these sites. I remember the first screenshots of secret characters just after the game came out in Japan, but they were on the Kongo Jungle N64 stage - so loads of people were saying LOLOMG FAKES!! Haha!

Haha, yep! Then somebody did the same with Fountain of Dreams, and Ganondorf was being clipped by a platform and people were like "HAY, Gamecube graphics are better than that. Platforms stop when they hit characters in Melee, DUH! It's faaaake!!11"
