Flip, I keep forgetting to remark that Aqua Jet is 100% legal on Totodile since September 2009. This has made Feraligatr a bit more interesting in the games by the way.

Mach Rider
Up-B: Trick Flip Mach pulls his bike upwards, launching him into a Samus-like spin attack. B: Laser Turret Mach open-fires with his lasers. Side-B: Laser Turret Ditto. But he doesn't stop driving while doing so. Turn around and you'll stop shooting until turned. If done from a standstill it's like B, but he starts moving, too. Down-B: Donut Mach spins around, igniting the ground around him, both burning AND smacking enemies. Final: Quadrunners Mach tips his bike and ducks out as Quadrunners drive through, making a mess of the stage and all in their way. They jump his bike. His A-attacks are pretty much a baseball bat and a chain, gang style, his Dash not slowing him. His grab also uses the chain, but since he's on a bike, it's hardly extended. Taunts are him popping a wheelie, revving his engine, and wiping the dirt from his visor. These are extended in his victory poses, bikeless for visor-cleaning. He also has one where he's not on the bike, but it's behind him, and he salutes you, gets on, and rides off. Credits music is the Mach Rider theme that's been there since Melee, Victory theme unknown.

I imagine Mach Rider operating sort of like a heavy Captain Falcon with that gun from the Vs. edition's official in-game portrait of him.
The gun would fire shots just like the ones that come from his bike in-game, and one of his special attacks could involve him summoning the bike a la Wario. Another one of his specials could involve him breaking into pieces and reforming like his death animation, maybe like a Nayru's Love-esque recovery move.

Anyone think Mach Rider looks a bit like Master Chief? I don't think it would be practical for Mach Rider to be on his motorcycle all the time. It is like having Link riding Epona as a character and expecting that to work just fine. Also, wasn't that pretty much why Sakurai skipped over the Excitebiker and went with the Ice Climbers for Melee? I think Mach Rider could work good as an Assist Trophy. Maybe he could ride on his motorcycle and shoot beams from it? He could even crash into a character and explode into pieces and then disappear.

You're not thinking third dimensionally! I mean, we had three bike mechanics in Brawl. Mach Rider would probably combine them into one thing and turn that one thing into at least an Assist and could just as well work as a Character. It wouldn't be too odd.
Huh. Been a while since I made a Back to the Future joke.

Did anybody pay attention to the post I just made? Anybody at all? Who exactly is making you feel ignored? Because none of the two posts seem too redundant with yours IMO (Arcadenik suggests an Assist Trophy, Shrikeswind says it could be either way). For the victory theme, you could use the tune that plays when you reach a goal.

I mentioned how he would work without his bike. Both Arcadenik and Shrikeswind's responses were still based on the assumption that Mach Rider would be constantly on his bike despite me already suggesting otherwise.

That could work, Johans.
See, Man-Frog? I acknowledge you. If I didn't, you wouldn't be able to tell who I was talking to. =P
Seriously, though, your comment didn't go ignored. I was actually contemplating a response, but decided not to, since you seemed to be making a statement rather than a reply.

I The gun would fire shots just like the ones that come from his bike in-game, and one of his special attacks could involve him summoning the bike a la Wario. Call me crazy, but I would rather have Mach Rider stay on his bike while fighting. Don't you mean Farore's Wind? Would he teleport using his death/respawn move? If not, then disregard this response.

Whoops. Got Zelda's moves mixed up for a moment there. And yes, the idea was that he'd teleport using the respawn animation. I figure having him appear off his bike would enable us to have another male humanoid fighter that DOESN'T have fire/purple stuff coming out of their fists and feet, and runs at an ordinary pace instead of being ultra-fast/ultra-slow.

I don't think this thread ever had a post about Meowth's moveset so I am making one for my favorite Pokemon. I think he would be an agile lightweight fighter with many quick and acrobatic moves involving his sharp claws (he is known as the Scratch Cat Pokemon). I think he would be about Pikachu's size but a bit heavier than Pikachu in Smash. Meowth is 1'04" and 9.3 lbs and Pikachu is 1'04" and 13.0 lbs. Here are his special moves. B: Pay Day (learned at level 30) Meowth simply throws a coin in a curved trajectory when you press the B button. Hold down the B button to charge the coin - let go of the button to throw the coin in a straight trajectory with increased speed and power. The controls are basically the same as Link's Bow move. Here's a short video showing how Meowth's Pay Day would look like. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1Aa3Rk6sRkSide B: Fury Swipes (learned at level 14) Meowth repeatedly scratches his opponent with his sharp claws for up to two to five times in quick succesion. It controls the same as Marth's Dancing Blade move, only Meowth does it with his claws. Here's a video showing how Meowth's Fury Swipes would be similar to Marth's Dancing Blade. www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-Phko3C1DIUp B: Faint Attack (learned at level 22) Meowth does his variation of Pikachu's Quick Attack move. It controls the same as Pikachu's Quick Attack move. When Meowth does this move, he vanishes like how the Lyn Assist Trophy would do and reappears when he makes contact with an opponent by scratching them. Meowth also reappears briefly when he makes a turn during the move and disappears again until at the end of the move when he reappears. Here's a video showing how Meowth's Faint Attack move would be like. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHM1dzOANPMDown B: Payback (taught by TM66) Meowth counters physical attacks by throwing coins around. This inflicts double damage based on how much damage Meowth received from physical attacks. For example, Mario punches Meowth with 10% damage inflicted so Meowth counterattacks by inflicting 20% damage against Mario. The double damage is a reference to how Payback would double the user's power if the user was attacked first in the Pokemon games. I think this would be a cool reference to Meowth's original appearance in the Smash series. Here's a short video showing how Meowth's Payback would look like. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ybv23OciapMFinal Smash: Super Pay Day (from Brawl) This is the souped-up version of Meowth's Pay Day (hence the name). Meowth runs around showering his opponents with many coins like in Brawl. Here's a video of Meowth (and Gulpin) raping Donkey Kong (it starts at 1:00). Yeah, this would be the perfect Final Smash for Meowth... it suits him so well. And this is a reference to Meowth's appearance in Brawl. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjY0CvAACMAAbout his taunts during the match and his entrance in the beginning of the match and his victory poses at the end of the match... Entrance - Meowth appears from the Pokeball and Meowth scratches while hovering for a moment and then drops to the ground. This is from Pokemon Stadium Taunt 1 - Meowth tumbles for a bit and then falls on his face. This is how Meowth fainted from battle in Pokemon Stadium. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkNRgitfipATaunt 2 - Meowth flinches for a bit and drops a coin like he did in Pokemon Pinball. Victory 1 - Meowth taps his foot and waves his finger as he winks like he did in Pokemon Pinball. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcAM8jE_vqoTaunt 3 - Meowth winks and waves his paw at the screen like his animated sprite did in Gold/Silver. Victory 2 - Meowth plays his red-and-white guitar from Meowth's Party and sings (a cool homage to Meowth's Melee trophy and to remind Nintendo to make a Guitar Hero: Pokemon Edition game ) www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7971AFv6U8Victory 3 - Meowth gives himself a bath by licking his arm and rubbing it all over his head. This is a reference to Meowth's sprite in Red/Blue. When Meowth falls asleep during the match, he sleeps and wakes up like he did in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3_UyeMQRk4You know how sometimes when a characters gets KO'd and turns into a star in the background? Meowth is the expert because he gets blasted off all the times in the anime. It would be funny to see Team Rocket from Pokemon Yellow make a cameo whenever Meowth is turned into a star during the match. Whenever Meowth is KO'd into the background, he is not alone because Jesse and James are blasting off with Meowth in the background and they turn into a star. A humorous reference to the Pokemon anime. ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf5krOtW-EA

Why didn't anyone read this one? This one's LUVLY! Meowth really should be in next SSB if there's gonna be one, since he was the most unfortunate one when it comes to cutting characters.
One flaw though. Meowth's Star KO shouldn't be having Jessie and James there in my opinion, since SSB-series don't really refer to tv-series, really. The familiar line when flying away still works alone, though. I think it catches the players more easily as the reference isn't clearly done.

Although Team Rocket jokes are pretty much par for the course with Meowth. Jessie and James actually appearing? No. But references in general? Damn straight. A taunt where he goes "Mee-owth!" for example. You can almost hear the "That's right!"
