Welp!
Despite only one of that theory's points being proven when we were supposed to get TWO, consider me at least somewhat convinced, until we get proof to the contrary. Cause man, if he isn't right then that was one HELL of a guess for the updates this week!

Peach's ever-smiling face reminds me of Betty Boop  . That's a nice dress but it looks like one a grandmother would use. Well, this should mean Toad will not be a playable character. |

This update proves a buncha things, actually: --That guy was, by some stretch, RIGHT. Two things weren't proven, but he was right about the two character updates in one week. Haven't had that in a long time. --Peach has gone back to a Mario-esque look, just like Bowser and Yoshi (thankfully). No more eerily realistic Peach this time! --Her umbrella, while not BEING Parry, LOOKS like Parry --Her dress is really high-detailed, meaning the design team is likely doing this for EVERYBODY (and we have seen this kinda stuff already anyways) --Toad is de..unconfirmed? He's not playable, unless they pull the whole "it's a race, not one guy!" thing on us --She can still float --Her throws are back A nice end to a relatively low so-so week. My predixn for Monday? BOOBIES!  |

I'm glad Peach is back. I've been waiting for her confirmation for about 2 weeks now.
I'll be honest... I don't like her dress. The Melee one looked a lot better. I guess I just don't like the puffs on her waist with the white laces splitting the dress in the middle. Yeah, I know it was based off her new dress but still. Maybe I'll get used to it like I did in Melee.
Anyway, Toad being Peach's neutral-special doesn't mean Toad is unplayable. There are many Toads and the Toad named Toad (the one from SMB2 and Wario's Woods) could be playable for all we know.
And have anyone forgotten that there are many Yoshis? The Yoshi in Brawl could be the Yoshi named Yoshi from SMW1 (the first on in the Yoshi's Island 2 level) and SMRPG (the green one on Yoshi's Island) and SMW2 (the green one in each world).
And there are many Pikachus, Squirtles, Ivysaurs, and Charizards.. But they could be the same ones from Pokemon Yellow along with Red (Pokemon Trainer).
And Mr. Game & Watch is really an amalgamation of many G&W-like characters in those LCD games.

Firstly, the umbrella is DESIGNED like Parry. It isn't the same umbrella Secondly, read my post in the Character Roster thread. With Peach, there would only need to be one more veteran and 3 more newcomers to make two perfect grids and confirm 20 starting characters. It's a far shot that Sakurai doesn't just leave gaps here and there, but it's also a part of that guy's theory as well. |

You're right about Yoshi, the Pokémon, and Mr. Game & Watch. Just because Toad isn't in the game dosen't mean that Toadsworth can't. I really hope! Is that Perry that's she's holding? About Toadsworth, I used to consider him a good substitute for Toad, but I don't think it's likely that it will be the other way around. |

Sooo...
Is it just me, or has Peach's... um... chest area been toned down from Melee? I can't help but feel a little dissapointed... and then immediately feel disgust at my dissapointment. Oh, therapy does sound good right now.

Oh, therapy does sound good right now. Her dress covers her legs better as well. No... the designers do have to take this stuff into consideration. And with Zero Suit Samus strutting around with that catsuit, it's OK to make Peach back into the regal, innocent princess she was meant to be. Now next game I expect the same treatment of Samus, going back to her being a tough and mature bounty hunter (I loved her more grizzled look in Prime. wth happened?). And in exchange... they can add Paula or something, and update her to wear spandex or something. I dunno. |

But then how would you differentiate a playable Toad from the rest of Toads that look like him? Or he can still be in anyway? |
