I only got literal because Arcadenik did. He's setting himself up for a disappointment by believing Sakurai meant every single Nintendo franchise in existance. Actually Kirbychu, you implied what Arcadenik said. What you said was saying that all franchises in brawl are getting trophies and no one else. But why are we discussing the scimatics of trophies. I mean, they just represent a bunch of stuff. They are the omega cameo. I was kind of hoping that they didn't return. I was hoping they spent more time on characters and other stuff then making these, but whatch ya ganna do. |

I never for a second believed Balloon Fighter was supposed to be in Melee. Melee's website (in Japanese) stated that Sakurai debated between Ice Climbers, Balloon Fighter, Bubbles, Urban Champion, and Excitebike before settling on the Ice Climbers to represent the Famicom. If we are going to pull the "Balloon Fighter was supposed to be in Melee" argument, then include Bubbles, Urban Champion, and Excitebike as well. You forget that Sakurai threw out those other ideas because in his words "Urban Champion characters didn't have a variety of moves, and ExciteBike would be difficult to program in." So he actually debated against Bubbles, Balloon Fighter, and Ice Climbers. |

Actually Kirbychu, you implied what Arcadenik said. What you said was saying that all franchises in brawl are getting trophies and no one else. No, I didn't... but it was a confusing way of saying it, so I can see how it could be misread as that. I guess TVEye misread it too, since... looking at his post, it seems he was arguing with my point by repeating it in different words. |

Why did Sakurai have to show the Ooccoo? It is... weird.. and it has... nipples. Are they nipples or are they meant to resemble nipples? If anything, she has to be the second Nintendo female character to sport nipples after that Kid Icarus enemy, what's her name? Siren or something? Ahem...it's plumage? Anyways, this is a good update to start the week off. They bare a strong resemblance to breasts and nipples, which there would really be nothing wrong with that if they weren't turquoise and also on Occoco's back.  This update tells us - Trophies are back. Durr.
- Box and Sliding box are considered two different Items.
- Food has been confirmed.
- Tingle is cool.

On the one hand, I'm glad trophies are back! Hooray! I loved collecting these in Melee.
On the other hand, you guys are looking too much into things! Stop it right now! All that was established is that trophies are back. Nothing more, nothing less.

That's not a good example at all, Fliptroopa. Wrecking Crew is a part of the Mario series. He's just another Mario enemy like Goomba and Koopa Troopa. Eggplant Man was in Melee... so that must mean Mario was playable! Oh look, he was! He's in the vintage character section regardless. So it's discernable by the trophy arrangement that Wrecking Crew just wasn't in with the Mario series. There were three Custom Robo trophies, and did we see any robots from that game? Nope. I'm just trying to say that although it may seem like evidence, we've gotten red herrings before. Balloon Fighter, anyone? The whole internet went crazy over that, and it's all just a silly little rumor. Vaccum Luigi was not grouped with the rest of the Mario trophies so I guess that means Luigi's Mansion is not part of the Mario series.  Or maybe DK Jr. and Stanley aren't part of the DK series. |

The trophy hunt is ON once again! I enjoyed getting every trophy in Melee... even bought a pro action replay just for the exclusive ones.
I never did get every special message though.... of course I don't think I'll ever play 1 million matches. Some of those were just pure bragging rights.
Anyway, I'll be going crazy once again trying to collect every trophy, sticker and CD that exists. It's going to be a blast.
I'm surprised.... though it's hard to tell... but the food looks like it's still 2d.
And yeah... I think seeing Tingle's trophy does hurt his chances of being playable. But seeing him Wind Waker style is nice... since I imagine they would try to fit Tingle into a stage, and that would me a WW style stage, which would mean.... oh.... look there I go again, looking into things too much.

Theres gonna be so much crap to collect in this game, its quite remarkable. Also, wtf does this mean? Thats some convoluted, non-sensical 'logic' there. Not really, Slippy uses a model ripped directly from Starfox Assault, even the pose is from it... As opposed to Fox using his Brawl in-game model as a trophy. Because Sakurai didn't care enough to make an original model for Slippy, but did for the fighters' own trophies, we can infer that Slippy isn't even an ASSIST trophy, let alone a fighter. Meanwhile Dr. Stewart is posing with his car... I'm 99% positive that Captain Falcon's official art for Brawl won't have the Blue Falcon in it, as all characters who got a new model for Brawl are using their Brawl model and offical artwork pose as their trophy. I mean hell, Petey Pirahna has Peach & Zelda in his trophy for crying out loud! The only exception is Pokemon Trainer who lack his pokemon in his trophy, but he is STILL in his Brawl Model and the pose in his artwork for Brawl. |

^^^ Young Link in Wind Waker style would be great! Maybe his stage would be on Tingle's Island or the Forsaken Fortress from TWW. I think the Lottery will be back. But this time it drops stickers and CDs in addition to trophies. Maybe....  |

I figured that'd be back, but the confirmation is nice. I like the fact you can now make scenes with them. I imagine the Bizarre SSBB Screenshots thread will be going crazy...

About the food you guys saw, that was the Superspicey Curry. Unless you consider that one of the food items.  And definatly one of the coolest updates. There's a lot to collect now. What, with the CDs and stickers and whatnot! |
