About the food you guys saw, that was the Superspicey Curry. Unless you consider that one of the food items. And definatly one of the coolest updates. There's a lot to collect now. What, with the CDs and stickers and whatnot! No. There was a trophy for the curry, and a bunch of food items. Look closely at the screenshot.

hopefully Tingle means that if he is not playable, we at least are going to have Tingle Tower as a Stage, complete with Slave labor Tingle brothers ;D

...Why? There were Pikmin trophies in Melee, too. Olimar wasn't playable in that, and the trophies certainly didn't represent every Nintendo franchise. Of course Olimar wasn't playable in Melee! His game just came out at the same time Melee came out! Roy became playable BEFORE Fire Emblem 6: Sword of Seals was released. You forget that Sakurai threw out those other ideas because in his words "Urban Champion characters didn't have a variety of moves, and ExciteBike would be difficult to program in." So he actually debated against Bubbles, Balloon Fighter, and Ice Climbers. Sakurai figured Bubbles and Balloon Fighter wouldn't work because: Bubbles can't stop moving. Balloon Fighter is useless once his balloons popped. Alice is a bit better than Balloon Fighter, in my opinion, because when all her balloons pop, she doesn't become useless (unless she falls in the water, lands on spikes, or touches an enemy by accident) and will either walk and run around with no balloons and/or pump one or two more.

But Balloon Fighter do that, too, whenever he lands on land.

But Balloon Fighter do that, too, whenever he lands on land. Err... nope! The enemies did, but Balloon Fighter would lose a life as soon as both of his balloons popped.

Oh... well, I don't see why that should prevent Balloon Fighter (even if Alice is named the generic Balloon Fighter just as Red is named the generic Pokemon Trainer) from being playable. Sakurai gave the Topi's Ice Shot move to the Ice Climbers for their standard special move so I don't see why he can't give a generic enemy balloon fighter's pumping balloons (or Alice pumping balloons) to the Balloon Fighter.

I prefer Alice over Balloon fighter, she doesn't look like any other character Oh about the trophies, nice update. I knew they were coming back though.

Balloon Fighter - Guaranteed to derail any thread in which he appears. *cough* Anyway...I wonder what new food items may come into play...

I think Arcadenik brought this up. I do beleive, that if you want to, you can argue that with Dwarf Red Bulbor trophy, that Olimar is likely in. The franchises that recived the most trophies were the ones that were actually represented in Brawl. Most others got 1-3 trophies. The Bulbor would be a very specific trophy, one that would go to Pikmin franchise. Also, usually when enimies were added they were part of a franchise in Brawl. But, I already was sure Olimar is in Brawl. He is a higly requested character. We say Krystal is going to get in so much, yet Olimar have just as many mentions on the poll as she did. But, you can always argue this.

The Bulborb, particularly that version, is pretty much the most recognisable enemy for the Pikmin series, so I don't think it confirms anything. But Olimar should be in anyway. Krystal, not so much.

Like her or not, Krystal is likely... she's the only Star Fox character to get 4 votes in the Brawl poll, the same amount of votes as Ike and Diddy Kong did. That should say something right there. On a side note, Captain Olimar got 3 votes just like Tom Nook and Takamaru did.

Alright, if we have to go through Krystal to get to Olimar and Nook (and Takamaru for you smellyheads) then she can be in.

This update tells us - Trophies are back. Durr.
- Box and Sliding box are considered two different Items.
- Food has been confirmed.
- Tingle is cool.
I'll agree with the first three points that you made. Nothing will ever convince me of that last point.
