Seems to be rather split around the parts of interweb I visit. Also, this chick did Ashley's voice. I don't know what the point of pointing that out is, but.... She did the voice of Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid, too? I prefer the Japanese version, because she appears to be a young girl, NOT A PRINCESS-LIKE WOMAN!

It's not to bad, I thought it was going to sound more like the original. It's not perfect but it has nice moments in it.
Also I managed to call a music update in the prediction thread, looks like my other Tuesday prediction was way off.

No, she didn't do Ariel's voice, she just thinks she could. Right now she's a relatively unknown voice actress trying to make a name for herself, and her role as Ashley in Brawl is one of her first big breaks. And the fact that she knew absolutely nothing about Ashley before performing this number, as well as thinking that the game is called "Super Mario Bros. Smash", explains a LOT.

Note she refers to Ashley as 'teenage', which probably explains more. Maybe Nintendo's notes said thats what she was? Because her voice is pretty good for a teenage girl character.

Ashley's English voice does sound like a teenager... but the fact that she's considerably shorter than Mona, who is a teenager, and carries a stuffed rabbit around with her make me think she's supposed to be quite a bit younger. As well as her Japanese voice, of course.

I'm not saying that the voice actress did a bad job. Well I am. But not because she's bad at voicing a teenage girl. She's great at that. I dislike the vocals because "teenage girl", especially the brand of teenage girl she employed does not fit Ashley's character at all. The deadpan vocals from Touched! fit Ashley much better. But yeah, it's not the vocalist's fault by any means. She did a great job for the information she was given. The folks at Treehouse are to blame for not working harder to get vocals that actually worked in the context of the song. I am really not looking forward to hearing the new vocals for Pokemon in this game. EDIT: I got so distracted by the vocals that I didn't even check the arrangement supervisor! This was put together by Tomoko Sasaki, one of the composers for NiGHTS. Which is neat, even if his music in this case is being overshadowed by the voice acting.

She's a high school cheerleader, so I assume she's a teenager.

Ahem....
Anyways, I feel Jimmy's song or Mike's song would have been way better. I actually downloaded Mike's song once to put on my iPod!
Anyways, I always hated this song. All it was good for was spinning forward and hearing Ashley say "I will condemn the children to Hell" or whatever she said.

I love this song! Ashley is one of my favourite Warioware characters, I even had an idea for an Ashley webcomic ages ago. I really should have written down that script....

I never played the DS WarioWare, so I can't compare the two versions of the song. I'll say that I think this one is quite good.
