Maybe the message area can also serve as an alternative to the messages you program for your taunts?
If this stage can't be edited via DS, then maybe you could just customize its background. Future update: Five kinds of control.

*BUMP* This is an image showing a screen of the upcoming Wii channel where you can download demos and such for the Wii and DS. Notice the symbols on the bottom...look familiar? I think this rules out Touch Generations, and maybe leans more towards playable Mii...? Or not, I can't read Japanese. |

I'm pretty sure those DS downloads are demos you can send from your Wii to your DS. I don't think it has anything to do with Miis or anything else. The first word for both of those is "Pokemon"
EDIT: I take that back.. a little. The two lines above the DS lines is "Mario Strikers Charged" (roughly)... I'm not too good at the kanji parts. But anyway... maybe a download thing... maybe something else... I'm still doubting there's any hints to the DS symbol being used in Brawl in this picture.

I still think a playable Mii is a really silly idea (and not silly as in certain forums are amusing in their stark definitions of canon and what makes a "true" game and a "true" fan...no, this is a negative kind of silly). Granted--it could still happen. I'm sure Sakurai would find some way to make it work (and it'd get more updates than F-Zero just to spite me...sigh). But to me, Miis seem more fitting as a Fighting Polygon/Wireframe Team. I'd rather not lose a character slot to somebody with more history and potential. I.E., another F-Zero character. Black Shadow, Jodi Summer, Pico...hell, I'd even take an unimportant character like Draq or Beastman! But no, that probably won't happen. Sakurai doesn't seem to like F-Zero that much.
...sorry, tangent. Miis are interesting but lost their flavor once Wii Sports got old. Nine different Hitlers and Michael Jacksons later, there's nothing new or interesting about 'em anymore.
But with my luck, they'll be playable and zomg popular and o shit F-Zero will get the Unlockable Franchise Shit Shower again. Boooo.

And not letting people add custom text or environments via the DS is a downright CRIME. I for one don't want to play against people who add swear words, or draw rude pictures, so this is in fact a GOOD thing indeed. |

Or they used that icon because it's a stage based on the DS system and not the Brawl icon because it's not a made up Brawl stage.
