Because now that Sonic is in, there's really no references to the lamer, furrier side of things. It's just good old classic Sonic, the way it should be. This is... bizarre to me. Because that's not classic Sonic at all, it's the Sonic design that's currently in use. Unlike StarFox, there really isn't anything "furry" in Sonic itself. It's all fan-injected. The closest we have is Rouge, but only because she has breasts. She has all the sex appeal (and the proportions of) a three-year-old with a pair of balloons. No character has ever shown any attraction to her, either - a stark comparison to the porn-grade slow jazz that played whenever Fox and Krystal were shown together in StarFox Adventures. Well, it's his current design... but his moves and actions seem to be based on his classic appearances. It's a decent mixture... but it doesn't incorporate any of the crap like light speed dashes, teleports, tornados, fire attacks, and recent stuff like that.
He doesn't wish for a mountain of tissues in his final smash.
It's a good mixture of his old and new. I cant' complain.
And yeah, it is Fan injected.... like I said.... Tails is just an innocent victim... and so are the rest of them...even Amy I think.
But the whole Knuckles/Rouge thing... come on. You know that's Furry bait.

Rouge and Knuckles' relationship... is them constantly insulting each other. It was hinted in SA2 that Rouge may have feelings for him, but it's really no more furry bait than Falco and Slippy's relationship. EDIT: This is really neither here nor there, but... all male Sonic characters very clearly have nothing resembling reproductive organs. It's not like it makes a difference in fanfiction, since the word "penis" is not difficult to type, so maybe it makes no difference. It's just another reason why, as far as I'm concerned, sex is not something that exists within the context of a Sonic game. |

I'm still not convinced that Falco could be replaced with Krystal. If one-timers Ice Climbers could come back, I don't think Falco will be the exception as he still appears in Star Fox games.
It would be nice to have a character like Krystal, though, for the same reasons Flip mentioned.

That is funny... looking through the first five pages of Sonic art, I see one furry picture... Looking at the first page of StarFox art I see one NON-furry picture. XD
EDIT: I'm going to explain my stance here a little, since it's likely not clear. These are two series that I don't think sex should even come into. Ever. So far, in Sonic, it hasn't. And thanks to the fact that such a thing is technically impossible with the current character designs, it likely never will.
Since Adventures, though, StarFox has been another story, and I find it depressing. When Fox was looking at Krystal frozen in that... crystal... I was half expecting to hear a comical "boi-oi-oing" sound effect. And is it just me, or did StarFox Command continuously hint that Krystal had been "intimate" with Panther after leaving Fox. Honestly, I haven't touched the game in ages. People say Shadow the Hedgehog was emo, but StarFox Command outdoes it tenfold. It depresses me beyond belief, and, unlike Shadow, doesn't even end in an uplifting way. Okay, there's one or two happy endings, but the majority are just "Krystal leaves Fox and both their hearts are broken forever, the end."

Krystal stands a chance in Smash Brothers, and is wanted in by alot of people... even more than Falco and wolf. Well, I heard that Fox has a Wolf costume, so I doubt he'd get in. Not entirely true. I heard the majority want her in because Smash is about 90% male. Tails is just a 12 year old kid. If people want him in for sexual reasons...*shudders* Well, I think the best term is "homosexual" on account that Bridget is a dude. Not a kid. Mostly though, I agree with you. People who want a character in Smash because of their, as you put it, "sexual desires" are seriously fucked up. It makes me sick just thinking about it. But Smash does need more female characters. There's only 3 counting Nana...right? |

When I see Sonic shown in a "mature" fashion, I just feel my childhood melting up inside me. I have not played a Sonic game after SA2, so I don't know anything about Silver or any other new characters, but from the Sonic games I have played, most of the characters have fun personalities, and that is why I like the (old) Sonic games. I have not played a game with Krystal, so I don't know about her. She can be in for all I care. |

Shadow the Hedgehog, aside from "gritter" stage textures, is no more "mature" than SA2. Though most people overlook it, SA2 featured guns and the word "damn" too. It was just presented differently. Once you get into Shadow's gameplay, it's basically what you'd get if you threw SA2 and Sonic Heroes in a blender, then turned down the brightness. Of course, that doesn't mean the game itself is good. |
