Norfair is the location in Metroid where the enemy boss Ridley was. There was a lot of lava, and it seemed like a rather hot area. Whoa! That looks hot.As you can imagine, the lava level will indeed rise and cover the platforms. It’s dangerous to touch it.
That dangerous-to-the-touch lava comes flowing from a number of places, so be careful. Hot! Hot-hot-hot-hot-hot-HOT! EEEEEEEEEEK! It’s a lava wave!The tension rises. Yes.
When the lava wave appears, a single safe area will also appear. If you can get in, you’ll be safe...but surely there will be quite a battle for that spot. Yet another bit of back and forth. "Let me in!" "I’m not letting YOU in!" It even has hatches that close in emergencies. Ahh.You can barely dodge the massive lava wave with a great jump, but it’s a little difficult. Besides, you KNOW you want to win the battle for that safe area. |

Nah, I was just kinda making up thread titles. I've seen stuff LIKE that though... I just can't remember exactly....but i don't go to those places anymore... so I'm not sure what crazy theories are out there these days.

Not very exciting update but probably becouse we all already seen this in demo videos.
BTW looks like the only franchise without stage now is Sonic.- looking at how many stage updates we are getting recently I guess it will change next week. Green hill zone probably.

Another week of updates and another stage to go along with it. This the 4th week in a row that a stage was revealed (NPC-PictoChat-MT-Norfair) but I'm not complaing though. I love the idea of this stage of the lava coming from sides and the background and having the safe area to go to as well. Also did anyone notice the background elements of this course it defintly reminds of parts of Metroid: ZM. But I can't tell if that background stuff is something that was really in the game or parts of it were from the inspired from the game and put together to make that new background.  |

BTW looks like the only franchise without stage now is Sonic What about the much neglected F-Zero franchise? I haven't seen a single hint of anything F-Zero related other than Goroh's AT. Anyway, this looks way better than any of the previous Metroid stages, although it would be nice to have a Metroid stage that didn't feature rising acid/lava as a hazard. As for those Gamefaqs freaks, they should calm down and stop spouting senseless rubbish. |

Oh yes I totally forgot about F-Zero but I guess first we need to see Captain Falcon update but somehow I don't excpect this to happen next week.

Cool update. But the platforms are too small. I don't see a large main platform... Unless its under lava. Oh, I like the safe hatch room, its something new to the Metroid stages.
I think Ridley's boss music will go to this stage. But it doesn't exactly confirm nor deconfirm Ridley anyway. Time will tell, I guess.
