This mode was in desperate need of a change more than any other. Sucks it didn't get it.

Actually, I always find Training Mode to be nifty in exploring character animations. Slow Motion and being able to zoom in on your character are pretty fun to mess around with. Though I don't see it having longevity.

And it's fun to look at all the other animations characters have that you rarely see.... like sleeping, stunned, and when using certain items.
You don't see them often because 1) Most people play with items off 2) Jigglypuff's sing never works 3) Mewtwo's disable never works and people's sheilds never break.
So it's fun to sometimes just go and check out these animations. Some characters (like Mewtwo) have very interesting ones.

Yeah I was surprised Peach had like 3 or 4 idle animations. Or was that Zelda, I forgot.
And Marth has one where he strokes his hair cliche anime style. He's such a girly man.

Woah, I almost missed Training this...double updates can be confusing. Nice to see it back. I used to love setting a certain item to EXTREMELY high and watching chaos ensue, or playing around with the different speeds...fun stuff.
And yeah, I love seeing the characters' different animations.

Lets play for 2 minutes, stop, re-evaluate our strategy, play for 2 minutes again, stop again, etc. 'Twas why I said I don't like it professionally. But when you play with friends, rules don't matter. Isn't that how sports are meant to be played? I feel there is too much merchandising in sports, and that makes nothing fun. I'm sorry, but reaaaally more than 2% dislike it!! Estimation dude, of course I was way off. But I'm not asking everyone in America if they like (American) Football. used to love setting a certain item to EXTREMELY high and watching chaos ensue, or playing around with the different speeds...fun stuff. Oh hell yeah! Suddenly Pokeballs, THOUSANDS OF THEM!!!!

ALL OF THESE THINGS (including the cake) ARE LIES!! fix'd I, myself, find the mode to be fine. Sure, there could be more, but I think it's both helpful and fun to mess around in.

Hopefully under CPU you can not only select "Attack" but also the CPU's level.

I always went into Training mode to just look at animations and see what I can get for Pokeballs/Assists, but for some reason I NEVER did the waiting animation. I was so meticulous to make sure I saw every move from all angles, including the ledge grabs and attacks, but I guess the idle animations just... passed me by. Damn.

I'd have liked a freeze frame mode. It sucks that in Training you can't pause the action - just zoom it in. But then not everyone who plays it will be trying to take screenshots for their website, I guess ;D

But then not everyone who plays it will be trying to take screenshots for their website, I guess ;D That won't really be an issue with the ability to take pictures in every other mode, I figure. And it actually works to your benefit if you want to take pictures of stuff that only appears in Subspace Emissary, you know?

Indeed. So long as there's a good ol' slow-motion mode you can take photos on, then I'm happy ;D
