Wow, uh...just when we were discussing past stages in Brawl...coincidence, much? Or is Sakurai watching us?
Nevertheless, despite my preference for all new stages, I'm happy about this. Being able to play as new characters and use new items and attacks on an old stage will be fun...and Temple's one of my favorite Melee stages. I'm wondering what others will return...I'm hoping for Big Blue, at least.
Awesome remix, too. AoL had some great music, and I'm glad the rest of the soundtrack was at least noticed.

Sweet, melee past stages. Since he says 'a number of stages' it means not all of them will return, but atleast the Temple is back for more battle cage fun. Also Great Temple original tune in case you give a shit

Nice to see SSBM stages returning and Hyrule Temple looks just like it did in SSBM. The new music for the stage is good too.
I guess this really does increase the chances of the original Pokemon Stadium returning after the PS 2 update.
I wonder if this means an update for SSB 64's returning stages?

This is nice! I really hope there is a section where it says, "Prehistoric Stages" and has stages from Smash Bros. 64. How good would that be?!

Hmm...
Icicle Mountain, Flat Zone, Rainbow Cruise, Venom, Brinstar Depths, Mute City, Pokemon Stadium, Kongo Rapids... there's quite a few they could go with.
Hell, I'd bet that the majority of "secondary stages" for each franchise will be Melee standbies

F-Zero locations would probably look like in F-Zero GX and AX.
In the case of the original Dream Land stage, there's not many reasons to bring back it since Dedede is already playable and he wasn't part of the stage mechanics.
Fountain of Dreams should come back because newer generations met Nightmare in Dream Land and Virtual Console Kirby's Adventure not too long ago.
It's nice to see some BGMs will be slightly different this time. That's the way to do it, Nintendo!

This, my friends, makes up for Ness...
Personally, I also want to see Peach's Castle (Melee), Yoshi's Island (Melee), Corneria (Melee), Big Blue (Melee), Pokemon Stadium 1 (Melee), Kongo Jungle (N64), Saffron City (N64), Planet Zebes (N64), and Mushroom Kingdom II (Melee). Also a Mushroom Kingdom Stage with both the Pipes and the blocks, and I will be happy.
Brawl is truely shaping up to be the perfect successor to not only Smash 64, but Melee as well.

Maybe we'll have three Whispy Woods stages this time around!
Here's to playing on the temple with the new Zelda Brawl medley.

Nice. I mean, it was pretty clear this was happening since we saw Pokemon Stadium 2, but hey, nice to have confirmation.

This is pretty good. Isn't it a tad lazy to reuse past stages in Brawl? I don't know, I doubt anyone really cares. Anyway, I think the following Melee stages (besides Temple) will return are:
- Fountain of Dreams: it is from Meta Knight's first game plus it would make a Kirby vs. King Dedede event match based on that game
- Icicle Mountain: we got the Summit, it makes sense to have the rest of the mountain, too
- Yoshi's Island: Yoshi's FS is from Super Mario World, so is this stage, why not?
- Pokemon Stadium: we got Pokemon Stadium TWO, so why not get Pokemon Stadium ONE, too?
- Brinstar: we got Norfair, but notice it didn't say Norfair Depths so just plain Brinstar is more likely than Brinstar Depths
- Mute City: we got Mario Circuit (strangely there's no single screenshot of it on the dojo, I'm beginning to think its removed from the game) so why not the original stage that inspired it?

I'm with most of those. As soon as I saw the "Pokemon Stadium 2" update I started thinking about which ones would make sense to return. - Pokemon Stadium is the biggest and most obvious, as its sequel is given a "2" at the end, not having "1" (with its alternate transformations) doesn't make sense. - Hyrule Temple, now confirmed (hoorah!), is absolutely massive and fun for playing long, drawn-out battles. - Icicle Mountain. I'll be honest, this is not my favourite stage by a long shot, and the fact the new DK: Jungle Beat stage is quite similar hurts its chances. But with the summit in the game, I agree, having the mountain as well makes a lot of sense. I can even see the two strung together into an Ice Climbers Adventure Mode stage. - Fountain of Dreams I hadn't really thought about, but your reasons for having it Arcadenik, make it SO OBVIOUS! ;D Kirby vs. Dedede... why did I not see that! - I thought we would get Brinstar or Brinstar Depths back after seeing Norfair. But which one?! Fact is, I'm totally unsure over how many stages are returning... If Sakurai brought most of the Gamecube stages back, and then matched that with just as many new stages, I'd be in videogame heaven!

Well I'm just hoping for N64 Mario stage and that pretty Fourside one, but everything is good.
Also about Mario Circuit, I think the stage doesn't float and land on several locations like Mute City, instead the racers will come towards the screen, being a hazard at the bottom of the stage, only to make a turn and show up left of the stage and jumping to the right, being a hazard on the above area of the stage and repeat. But that's what I base off the old trailer.

There is our amazing update. Of course, Stages is plural, and Temple sure isn't 2 stages Sakurai.
Can't complain though. Nice. I'll make my stage list later.
